Notes
Extends the duration you are able to keep a fish on the line before you give up on the catch. Extends the duration by 20 seconds. Note that other legendary fish catch time is 40 seconds, so more accurately you are penalized by 20 seconds if you do not have this key item due to using live bait. This will extend the catch duration to the normal 40 seconds.
Applies to specific fish that can be caught with Dwarf Pugil & Drill Calamary combinations only, see below.
- Lik + Dwarf Pugil
- Without this key item, it is not difficult to land Lik at 110 +12 skill with the reduced stamina that dwarf pugils offer. You will have many more line breaks to worry about rather than time to deplete the fish's stamina.
- Gugrusaurus + Drill Calamary
- Without this key item, it is not difficult to land Gugrusaurus at 110 +12 skill with the reduced stamina that drill calamary offer. You will have many more line breaks to worry about rather than time to deplete the fish's stamina.
- Matsya + Dwarf Pugil & Drill Calamary
- Because neither bait reduces stamina of Matsya, Mooching can be rather useful for depleting stamina of these fish. In fact, it can prove challenging without this key item in the small time frame you have in combination of the high line snap rate. It is a good idea to have this key item as live bait is the only way of catching Matsya.
Even if you do not have this key item, it is still possible to catch these fish without live bait while using the Albatross Ring and Penguin Ring combination, as they do stack with each other. 70 seconds of time can be obtained when these effects are active. Alternatively, the Duck Ring can also allow you to catch these fish with relative ease without this key item.
