While I welcome questions and discussion, I will not entertain any prescriptivist arguments about what west coast swing technique should or should not be. We are all free to understand and express this dance however we please, but this document exists for those who feel unserved by the mainstream of west coast swing dance education. I wouldn't be sticking my neck out publicly in a toxic global community to say "hey, I think you're fundamentally wrong about everything you teach" to so many people with so much power and status.

But that's just the PTSD talking. This is a labor of love, and I write it so that it may help people who without it would end up stuck, frustrated, or leaving the dance forever.
