Weapon Rank
Weapon Rank is a calculation used in determining the upper and lower caps for both fSTR and fSTR2.
Calculations
Hand-to-Hand
The Weapon Rank for Hand-to-Hand is as follows:
- floor (Weapon Damage +3 / 9)
All other weapons
The calculation for all other weapons is as follows:
- floor (Weapon Damage / 9)
- Note: Ranged Weapons do not include ammo in Weapon Damage.
Weapons with Changing Damage
Weapons with "Unlocked" Damage
Weapons that require WS points for unlocking Latent Damage, such as the Senjuinrikio, have a Weapon Rank that is always calculated from the Latent Damage, even if the weapon is still locked.
Weapons with Latent Triggers
Weapons that have higher Damage under certain conditions, such as the Maneater, retain a Weapon Rank based on the original listed Damage (without trigger conditions being met).
Weapons with Hidden Effects
Weapons with hidden effects, such as the Company Sword, retain a Weapon Rank based on the original listed Damage (without the hidden effect being active).
Weapons with DMG Augments
Weapons that gain additional DMG from Augments have a Weapon Rank that is calculated from the current DMG, and can change as the weapon is upgraded further.
