Walkthrough
- Speak to one of the three Moogles at the positions above. After speaking with the Moogle, retrieve the Moogle Guard from the adjacent crate for a brief cutscene and an explanation of the event that follows.
- Find the eight Proctor Moogles in a location and pass each of their examinations in order to complete the event for that location.
- Note that many of the Proctor Moogles are partially hidden behind buildings, up staircases, etc.
- You must have the Moogle Guard equipped in order to participate in the examinations.
- Examinations are of various types including answering questions about Vana'diel geography, identifying locations, knowing monster strengths and weaknesses, etc.
- There is no penalty for answering incorrectly, you can simply repeat the examination.
- After completing all eight examinations successfully in an area, return to the starting Moogle in that area to obtain a reward depending on how many areas have been completed:
- First completed area: Moogle Guard +1
- Second completed area: Chocobo Shield
- Third completed area: Chocobo Shield +1 and Moogle Moolah
- The Moogle stationed by a coffer will supply you with other info unique to the event:
- Informs you of your personal exam questions answered so far in each nation, and amount remaining.
- Informs of your servers total stats for the exams taken in each nation.
- The total server ratings for players passing exams is ranked from 1 to 5 stars where every 100 players who pass appears to add 1 star.
- As the rank increases it appears to lessen the amount of the cities NPC characters transformed into Moogles. Unknown what the 5 star ranking may affect.
- After completing all 8 questions in all 3 nations the Moogle suggests you speak to the Oblivious Adventurer NPC located near any nations Mog House.
- Oblivious Adventurer locations: Southern San d'Oria (M-5) / Bastok Markets (I-7) / Windurst Waters (north side) (K-10)
- The Oblivious Adventurer will ask questions about his recollections and a type of equipment he may hand out (a type of club, headgear, or furnishing). He will then reward you with one item from the category you select.
- Asking the adventurer for an item appears to be possible once every earth day
- Possible rewards for selecting club option: Ash Club, Nomad Moogle Rod
- Possible rewards for selecting headgear option: Bronze Cap, Redeyes
- Possible rewards for selecting furnishing option: Rusty Bucket, Rolanberry Delightaru
