Bhaflau Remnants Guide |
- The entrance area for the Bhaflau Remnants can be reached by using the Southeast Teleporter in the Nyzul Isle area of the Alzadaal Undersea Ruins.
- There is a one (1) hour time limit upon entering Bhaflau Remnants.
- Bhaflau Remnants is a five floor Salvage area with the Long-Bowed Chariot as its boss.
- All of the Bhaflau Remnants level 15 Salvage pieces (Anu's Tiara, Enyo's Leggings, Hoshikazu Tekko, Nemain's Sabots, Njord's Trousers) are relatively common drops from all monsters in this Salvage area except for the Anu's Doublet, a 100% drop from Demented Jalaawa which is spawned by trading a Arrapago Card to the Slot located in the small center room of the third floor.
- All of the Bhaflau Remnants level 25 Salvage pieces (Bodb's Crown, Bodb's Robe, Ea's Dastanas, Freyr's Ledelsens, Phobos's Cuirass, Phobos's Mask, Tsukikazu Haidate) are dropped by Long-Bowed Chariot which drops exactly two pieces upon each defeat.
- All of the Bhaflau Remnants level 35 Salvage pieces (Deimos's Gauntlets, Enlil's Brayettes, Freya's Jerkin, Freya's Mask, Hikazu Sune-Ate, Macha's Cuffs) are from various mobs and NM's which are spawned from Reactionary Rampart. Reactionary Rampart are accessed through Dormant Rampart which are spawned by meeting various conditions throughout the Remnant.

Central Start Room
- The initial Armory Crate appears in this room.
- From this room either the West or East path may be taken. Once a door to one of the paths is opened, the other will lock.
West Path
- In the first small room there are 2 Wamouracampa and a Bifrons.
- In the next hallway there is a Bifrons.

Central Area
- To the north of the teleporter from 1F there are four small rooms in a circular pattern. In each of these rooms is an Empathic Flan.
- Defeating all four of the Empathic Flan while they are in "Angry" mode ("Spikey-head" mode) will cause a Dormant Rampart spawn. Touching the Dormant Rampart will move the party to a separate area with a Reactionary Rampart.
- Under normal physical attacks, the Empathic Flan will enter "Angry" mode a few seconds after being engaged. If the Empathic Flan takes a certain amount of magic damage, it will change out of the "Angry" mode, and if it is defeated in this state the Dormant Rampart will not spawn. It is possible to have the Empathic Flan reenter "Angry" mode but the trigger is currently unknown. Magic damage that is known to cause the Empathic Flan change out of "Angry" mode include direct magic damage, large skillchain damage and Formless Strikes. Magic damage that is not known to cause the Empathic Flan change out of "Angry" mode include DoT magic damage and low skillchain damage. Direct magical damage can be used if the spell defeats the Empathic Flan without risk of losing the Dormant Rampart.
- Once engaged the Reactionary Rampart will spawn, every 12 seconds, either a Hunting Wasp or a low chance of a Skirmish Pephredo. Up to 5 of these monsters may be spawned at one time. If 5 monsters have been spawned and are alive, the Reactionary Rampart will not spawn another monster until one or more of the 5 have been defeated.
- Hunting Wasp has a low chance to drop Hikazu Sune-Ate and/or Freya's Mask.
- Skirmish Pephredo has a high chance to drop Hikazu Sune-Ate and/or Freya's Mask.
- Reactionary Rampart will lose 1% of its HP every 12 seconds once engaged until it is defeated or its HP runs out. If no other damage is done, it will take 20 minutes for the Reactionary Rampart to completely deplete its HP.
- Once the Reactionary Rampart is defeated the party will be returned to the room in which the Dormant Rampart spawned.
- In the Western and Eastern rooms there are doors. Once either of the doors is opened, the other will lock.
Western Area
- In the first small room the Socket has the potential to spawn. Trading up to five of the same cell will spawn Flux Flan.
- Flux Flan will drop double the amount of cells traded to the Socket.

- Demented Jalaawa has a 100% chance to drop Anu's Doublet.
- In the large room to the West there are 10 Archaic Gear, an Archaic Gears and a door leading to the 4F Teleporter.
- In the large room to the East there are 10 Archaic Gear, an Archaic Gears and a door leading to the 4F Teleporter.
- Defeating the two Archaic Gears (1 from the East and 1 from the West rooms) near simultaneously will cause a Dormant Rampart to spawn. Touching the Dormant Rampart will move the party to a separate area with a Reactionary Rampart.
- Once engaged the Reactionary Rampart will spawn, every 12 seconds, either a Colibri or a low chance of a Zebra Zachary. Up of these 5 monsters may be spawned at one time. Both Paths
- In the second small room there are 3 Archaic Gear.
- In the third small room there are 2 Archaic Gear.
- In the large room there are 6 Archaic Gears and an Archaic Chariot.
- In the fourth small room there are 2 Archaic Gear.
- In the final small room there are 3 Archaic Gear.
- If an Archaic Gear detects a player (by sound, magic or ability) it will immediately begin to warp and, if not claimed extremely quickly, will disappear. Archaic Gear link by sound and will also warp if they link with another Archaic Gear.
- If an Archaic Gear is engaged (by ranged attack, fast casting magic or ability, or BRD song) it will not immediately warp, though it will still warp away in approximately 1 minute.
- Defeating all 10 Archaic Gear without warping will cause a Dormant Rampart to spawn. Touching the Dormant Rampart will move the party to a separate area with a Reactionary Rampart.
- Once engaged the Reactionary Rampart will spawn, every 12 seconds, either a Tragopan or a low chance of a Peryton. Up of these 5 monsters may be spawned at one time. If 5 monsters have been spawned and are alive, the Reactionary Rampart will not spawn another monster until one or more of the 5 have been defeated.
- Tragopan has a low chance to drop Freya's Jerkin and/or Enlil's Brayettes.
- Peryton has a high chance to drop Freya's Jerkin and/or Enlil's Brayettes.
- Defeating all 10 Archaic Gear without warping will remove the enmity reseting additional effect and reduce the damage caused by Homing Missile, the special attack used by the area boss Long-Bowed Chariot.
- Defeating 9/10 Archaic Gear will limit the enmity reset to the main target.
- Defeating less than 6 Archaic Gear has no effect on Long-Bowed Chariot.
Notes
- If Wind weather is present, the normal detection range for all Archaic Machinery is doubled.
- Defeating the Archaic Chariot on this floor may have some effect on Long-Bowed Chariot but the exact effect is not currently known. However it is suspected that the west Archaic Chariot reduces the defense of Long-Bowed Chariot and the east reduces the attack.
Fifth Floor
Central Area
- Long-Bowed Chariot is located after Gilded Doors, at the center of the main room.
- Long-Bowed Chariot uses all of the standard Chariot abilities and the additional ability Homing Missile.
- Inertia Stream: AoE damage and Bind. Removes all Utsusemi shadow images.
- Discharge: AoE damage and Paralysis. Removes all Utsusemi shadow images.
- Diffusion Ray: Frontal conical damage and Dispel. Can only be used when the Armored Chariot is facing its target.
- Homing Missile: Magical ranged AoE attack dealing 90% of HP to all targets within range with an enmity-reset effect like Throat Stab.
- Long-Bowed Chariot can only use Homing Missile when it is facing its current target. It will not normally follow its current target if the target is within its normal attack range. Instead, Long-Bowed Chariot will periodically turn to face its current target, which will allow it to use Homing Missile as a TP attack. Long-Bowed Chariot will turn to face its current target with increasing frequency as its HP is reduced.
- Defeating all 10 Archaic Gear on the fourth floor without warping will change Homing Missile to do flat ~300 damage with no enmity reset.
- Defeating 9/10 Archaic Gear will cause Homing Missile to have the normal effect on the main target, but the reduced effect on other players hit.
- Defeating a fewer number of Archaic Gear appears to have some effect on Long-Bowed Chariot but the exact effect is not currently known.
- Defeating the Archaic Chariot on the West side of the fourth floor seems to significantly lower Long-Bowed Chariot's defense.
- The effect of defeating the Archaic Chariot on the East side is not currently known.
- Homing Missile can be stunned, but Long-Bowed Chariot gradually builds resistance to stun.
- Long-Bowed Chariot has a 100% chance to drop exactly two of the following: Bodb's Crown, Bodb's Robe, Ea's Dastanas, Freyr's Ledelsens, Phobos's Mask, Phobos's Cuirass, Tsukikazu Haidate.
