- The fight involves four Fomor enemies: Borealis Shadow [North] (WAR), Orientalis Shadow [East] (RNG), Occidentalis Shadow [West] (MNK), Australis Shadow [South] (RDM).
- The WAR, RNG, and MNK shadows seem to have innate Regain and will all use Fomor TP abilities.
- The WAR shadow can use axe weaponskills. Rampage can easily one-shot any unbuffed melee. Mistral Axe may be used if the WAR is bound and/or weighted.
- The RNG shadow can use sidewinder which can one-shot tanks.
- The MNK shadow has a very high counter rate and uses Hand-to-Hand weaponskills up to Dragon Kick.
- Due to lethal nature of the weaponskills, it is highly advised to use NIN as a subjob. Failure to keep shadows up will most likely result in death.
- All four of the shadows will weaponskill more frequently when one of them dies. It is highly recommended that they all be lowered to within kill range and then removed simultaneously to avoid this.
- All four shadows are susceptible to most enfeebling magic. While silence and dark-based sleep can land, it is advised to use break instead for crowd control.
- Light skillchains or high damage weaponskills appear to proc .
- RDM with Very good Enspell damage can perpetually Stun each shadow using Enfire.
- Ark Angel Taru Can easily sleep these, and his AI will make him always sleepga these monsters making the fight trivial.
