Category:Bio Spell
Bio spells are a form of dark magic that reduces the target's attack and gives a potent slip effect. They were a staple of Red Mage soloing tactics for years due to their short casting time, low MP cost, respectable eventual damage, and modest defensive perks. Now, Bio's primary use is in Voidwatch, where it is both a defensive option and a potential weakness trigger. Keep in mind that the weakness will only trigger if Bio's DoT effect lands, which means that no higher tier Bio or Dia spell can already be on the monster (see below). Bio spells cannot be fully resisted unless a monster is completely immune to magic.

- Bio III has no known cap. The calculation done here assumes 17 damage/tick with maximum known enhancements.
Bio vs. Dia
Bio spells overwrite Dia Spells of the same tier/merit level, as is shown from left to right in the below table.

Enhancing Bio
After any form of Bio has been applied to the enemy, Corsairs can use the Quick Draw job ability Dark Shot to enhance the Attack Down Effect by an additional +2.73% (28/1024) and Damage Over Time +3 (Caps after one shot)
