Notes
- The Qiqirn Pecheur in this zone all drop a Willow Fishing Rod or a Fly Lure, but given the time constraint and uncertainty of fishing up the Orobon, it is highly suggested to bring your own rod and lure/bait.
- The goal of this assault is to fish up an Orobon NM and return the item you receive to the NPC at the start.
- Fishing at any point in the map will net one of the following monsters: Orobon, Pugil, Pugil, Crab, Kraken. It all depends on luck
- It is possible that the first thing you fish at the starting point can be the Orobon (verified, first hand encounter).
- No fishing skill is needed.
- The Orobon will only be fished at a certain point on the map.
- There are 4 NPC fisherman also on the map. At first they will be dismissive toward you. Once you fish up 4 or 5 enemies, they will change text.
- NPC speech will read along the lines of either "this area is no good" or "I've got a good feeling about this area."
- Only one NPC will say they like their area, continue fishing at this NPC.
- After 4 or 5 more enemies fished, the NPC will start giving more specific locations, something along the lines of "to the North is a good spot."
- The Orobon has a fairly large amount of HP, plus usual Orobon moves that can silence, plauge, slow, and other nasty debuffs.
- Whomever deals the killing blow will automatically receive the athapot to return to the NPC.
Walkthrough
- Have two or three people fishing at a time, if you can handle it, fish at different NPCs, or have other party members out at other NPCs.
- Once the NPC dialog changes, finding the proper NPC is priority.
- You can fish up the Orobon without NPC text changing. People have been lucky and fished up only after finding the proper NPC, but without details.
- Kill the Orobon
