Originally the currency of Jeuno, in 868 Crystal Era Gil was adopted as the official currency of Bastok, San d'Oria, and Windurst.
Also known as the cause of and solution to all of Vana'diel's problems.
- The maximum amount of gil you can carry is 999,999,999.
- The maximum amount of gil you can send through a Delivery Box is 1,000,000, and only 1 slot can be used to send gil at a time.
- The maximum amount of gil you can store in the Gil repository is 999,999,999.
