HQ1
Basics
HQ1 is the 1st High Quality version of an item. It's also the 1st High Quality result of a synth. It's usually slightly better than the NQ version of an item. Not every item has an HQ1 version, but every item that has a HQ2 version has an HQ1 version.
Example
Considering the Potion reciepe : a Potion is the NQ result, while Potion +1 is the HQ1 result, Potion +2 is the HQ2 result and Potion +3 is the HQ3 result.
Multiple items synths
Arrows, bullets, Ninjutsu tools and such reciepes yield more than one unit of a specific item. For these reciepes, the HQ1 result is usually a better yield (more units) of the same NQ item.
Example
Considering the Beetle Arrow reciepe : Beetle Arrowx33 is the NQ result, while Beetle Arrowx66 is the HQ1 result, Beetle Arrowx99 is the HQ2 result and Beetle Arrowx99 is the HQ3 result.
Outcome of a synth
The exact outcome of a specific synth (NQ, HQ1, HQ2, HQ3, failure) cannot be guessed in advance, but it's possible to get an estimation of the odds of each different outcome, according to the crafting tiers method.
