Intelligence
From FFXI Wiki
(Redirected from INT)
Abbreviation: INT
Intelligence is generally an offensive and defensive stat associated with black magic.
INT is associated with the Ice element.
Offensive
- As INT is added, the dINT term of the Magic Damage equation for black magic is increased, with varying effect depending on the spell cast.
- For player-casted spells, INT has the greatest impact on magic damage dealt by Stone Spells, followed by Water, Aero, Fire, Blizzard, and the least impact on Thunder Spells.
dINT
dINT is the difference between the INT of a caster and the target. It directly influences the Magic Damage equation and Magic Accuracy.
- Increasing INT improves the Magic Accuracy of all black magic spells, depending on dINT.
- When dINT < 10: 1 INT = 1 Magic Accuracy
- When dINT > 10: 2 INT = 1 Magic Accuracy
- When dINT > 30: 4 INT = 1 Magic Accuracy
- dINT caps at 70, at which point any INT adds 0 Magic Accuracy.

Foe Intelligence
WAR (E.g. Crawler, Funguar, Wivre, Bat, etc) is the most common job in the game, and it is the second lowest tier of native INT, where PLD (E.g. Beetle, Crab, etc) is the lowest ranking of INT.
- Expect the INT of an opponent to be higher or lower based on their job.
Foe INT is tiered as (highest to lowest):
- BLM
- SMN
- DRK, COR, SCH, THF, RDM
- BRD, BLU, NIN, RUN
- BST, PUP, RNG, SAM, WHM
- DNC, DRG, WAR
- MNK, PLD

- INT has a defensive impact against offensive enemy black magic spells. Increasing player INT will decrease both the damage and accuracy of enemy black magic by the same formulas as above.
