The subject of job adjustments is one that players are eager to hear about from the development team. This article will compile various statements from the dev team about changes to jobs.

2021

In Matsui's 2021 Happy New Year post, he very briefly mentioned upcoming job changes.

Additionally, we're looking to expand storage options and implement new character growth options for all jobs.

In the 19th Vana'versary address posted on May 16th, 2021, Matsui commented on a new job progression system.

In terms of battle content, we're currently working on a new job progression system. We'll have more details to share with you at a later date and ask you to hold out for just a little while long, as we need to debut this system for all jobs at the same time.

Job-related System
In contrast with previous job adjustments where we rotated through individual jobs and made changes to their abilities and traits, this new system could be summed up as “removing shackles.”
Of course, this isn’t meant to completely replace job adjustments, and individual adjustments will still be made as necessary, similar to how certain jobs were changed to bring them up to standard in preparation for this new system.
Our current balancing adjustments are based on the state of the jobs after they have progressed through this new system.

2022

In a May interview with Famitsu, Matsui briefly spoke about job adjustments in an answer concerning Master Levels. Below is a rough translation.

- Then, I would like to move on to the content of the game. Of the contents implemented in the past year, the one that had the greatest impact was the introduction of the master level, which is a further growth factor from the job master. Please tell us your intention.
Matsui: One of the factors that made the character stronger was that he wanted a new growth factor for the character himself, not the item level of the equipment. In addition, we have made various job adjustments so far, but from now on, we have decided to improve the character's abilities vertically and then make adjustments for each job again.
