Further tips
Before initiating this quest, I highly suggest training all monsters from the F-12/G-12 room, the H-11/H-12 I-11/I-12 room, and the J-11 room plus the connecting hallways along the path back to the entrance. AoE these mobs (but be very careful not to zone out or lose aggro on the way). The timer for this quests starts after you zone in. The NPC disappears after a few minutes of you not initiating the quest, so zoning is required after training and killing mobs
- Goblins will link each other with sight.
- Lizards will link with sound.
- Dia everything without walking through water. It will not kill anything.
- Be sure to aggro the entire rooms.
- Be sure not to engage while training mobs. You may be animation locked and unable to move until you kill some monsters.
If done correctly, Ken will be done with the large H-11/H-12 I-11/I-12 room and should be in the hallway where event 6 takes place. This greatly reduces the difficulty of this quest.
- Using Yagudo Drinks greatly helps.
- Nuking and healing while on Black Mage sub White Mage is a good strategy.
- As long as Ken does not see you, he does not care if you assist him with kills.
The last room is tricky. He tends to double back into the event #6 hallway and there is no real way to see where he is at and what his health is without getting caught. Luck with mob positioning is involved here.
