Talk:Bio III
From FFXI Wiki
Notes
Historical tiers are:
- <210 skill: 7 damage/tick
- 211-250 skill: 8 damage/tick
- 251-290 skill: 9 damage/tick
- >291 skill: 10 damage/tick
My data, from meleeing Ephemeral Limules in Abyssea - La Theine with a Kraken Club on 99 RDM/SCH on the test server:
- 416 skill: 17 damage/tick
- 400 skill: 17 damage/tick
- 399 skill: 16 damage/tick
- 374 skill: 16 damage/tick
- 373 skill: 16 damage/tic
- 372 skill: 15 damage/tick
- 346 skill: 15 damage/tick
- 345 skill: 14 damage/tick
- 344 skill: 14 damage/tick
- 319 skill: 14 damage/tick
- 318 skill: 13 damage/tick
- 300 skill: 13 damage/tick
It looks like they reworked the entire equation, but I probably can't survive against these monsters at much lower skill / don't feel like it, so I won't be checking it out. I have removed all the non-critical values from the above data list, and unfortunately they were plentiful. A working formula is:
- Bio III DoT potency = floor(Dark Magic Skill+59)÷27)
This is the same as:
- Bio III DoT potency = floor(Dark Magic Skill-211)÷27) + 10
or
- Bio III DoT potency = floor(Dark Magic Skill-184)÷27) + 9
Which is probably actually what the equation is. Regardless, the first equation is the simplest so I will go with that until someone finds the floor. --Byrthnoth 17:51, 18 January 2012 (EST)
