Movement speed testing
I used the method from this post.
- Control (no movement speed) was 12.0~12.1 seconds to run 48 yalms in Abyssea Konschtat to Raibaht (some ups and downs)
- Test (Chocobo Mazurka) was 9.6-9.7 seconds to run the same path.
12.1/9.7 and 12/9.6 = 125%
12.1/9.6 = ~124%, so the movement speed is 24 or 25%
Raptor Mazurka and Herald's Gaiters also yielded the same time (9.6~9.7), which indicates to me that it's probably 24%.
Using Herald's Gaiters with this decreases the time to 8.7-8.8 seconds, or a 36%~39% increase in speed. We cannot conclude from this whether gear and magic stack stack multiplicatively or additively, but my gut feeling is that they're multiplicative.
1.12*1.24 = 1.388, or a 38~39% increase. Adding would have given a 36% increase.--Byrthnoth 16:05, 20 June 2011 (EDT)
