Talk:Enmity Douse
Enmity Testing
- Player 1 pulls a Rabbit with 18 Threnodies (2000 CE)
- Player 2 casts one Threnody on it (100 CE)
- Player 1 uses Enmity Douse, hate goes to Player 2
- Player 1 casts Threnody once, hate goes to Player 1 (Enmity Douse + 100CE)
- Player 2 casts Cure once, Hate goes to Player 2
- Player 2 casts Cure again (102 CE)
- Player 1 casts Blind once, hate goes to him (102 CE=Enmity Douse + 101 CE)
Enmity Douse = 1 CE --Byrthnoth 06:48, 14 July 2011 (EDT)
Second test, Goetia Gloves +2
- Repeated a shorter version of test 1 (2000 CE -> 200 CE -> Douse -> 2x Threnodies to get hate back) and it came out exactly the same
- I made sure to stand with Player 2 between the monster and Player 1, in case there is some directional dependance. There doesn't seem to be. --Byrthnoth 07:24, 14 July 2011 (EDT)
Next test!
- Player 1 pulls a rabbit with 13*8 threnodies (10000 CE)
- Player 2 casts Cure 1 for 0 HP on Player 1 twice.
- Player 1 uses Enmity Douse, hate shifts to Player 2
So it looks like you can dump an unlimited amount of Enmity with it --Byrthnoth 07:24, 14 July 2011 (EDT)
Maybe it affects VE?
- Player 2 pulls with Silence (201 CE)
- Player 1 casts Blind -> Stun -> Blind (lots of VE) and the monster is attacking him (briefly)
- Player 1 uses Enmity Douse, monster switches back to Player 2.
Looks like it dumps VE as well, without the gloves. --Byrthnoth 07:41, 14 July 2011 (EDT)
Depends on having the monster's attention?
- Player 1 pulls with 8x Threnodies (1000 CE)
- Player 2 casts 10x Threnodies and Cure for 0 HP (1001 CE)
- Player 1 uses Enmity Douse and then casts Blind (1? CE + 1 CE) - Fails to get hate
- Player 1 casts 10x Threnodies and takes hate (1002 CE)
- Player 2 casts Cure for 0 HP and takes hate (1002 CE)
Nope... --Byrthnoth 08:13, 14 July 2011 (EDT)
They may effect enmity gain after Douse?
- Player 1 Pulls with Threnody (300 CE)
- Player 2 casts 3x Threnody (300 CE)
- Player 1 uses Enmity Douse (1 CE)
- Player 1 uses 3x Threnody as fast as I could following Enmity Douse (300 CE) <-- Player 1 gets hate back after all three and the rabbit turns towards him briefly even after the first Threnody.
So it's definitely not -Enmity. It could be increased enmity lost when taking damage or increased VE decay rate, but that'd be a silly effect considering the JA sets your VE to 0. Also, based on the way the monster was looked at me every time I cast Threnody, for increasing amounts of time, I'd say that it's probably not increased VE decay rate. --Byrthnoth 09:06, 14 July 2011 (EDT)
Maybe they affect Range?
- 12.6' without, 12.6' with. Nope. --Byrthnoth 09:06, 14 July 2011 (EDT)
Update
It appears this was a localization error. --Byrthnoth 07:30, 9 August 2012 (EDT)
