Talk:Fervor Ring
From FFXI Wiki
Magic Attack Bonus Testing
90 Summoner with 1 merit in Meteor Strike out in East Ron. with a freshly summoned Ifrit each time (0 TP)
- Avatar MAB+0 (Naked) = 1103 damage
- Avatar MAB+8 (Soulscourge, Tiresias' Cape, Eidolon Pendant) = 1164 damage
- x÷(x+.08) = 1103÷1164, x = 1.446
- ceiling(1103÷1.44) = 766
- floor(766×1.52) = 1164
At this point, fitting the numbers gives a base MAB of 44~46 for level 90 Avatars. It's probably 46 (Magic Attack Bonus V+10 from merits)
- Avatar MAB+8 + Fervor Ring = 1179 damage
- floor(766×1.54) = 1179
We would predict Fervor Ring to be 2 MAB based on this.
- Avatar MAB+6 (no Eidolon Pendant) with Fervor Ring = 1164 damage
- This just serves as proof that Avatars don't behave weirdly with MAB.
So it's MAB+2, and Avatars have 44~46 MAB base at level 90. --Byrthnoth 23:45, 4 September 2011 (EDT)
