==== Lowman Melee Strategy ====
RUN/SAM, GEO/RDM, BRD/WHM. Everyone besides the RUN stays 21 yalms away at all times. RUN uses sushi and a hybrid/meva TP similar to the "Engaged Tanking" set from the Community Rune Fencer Guide. Before engaging put up ~5 trash buffs that Fu can absorb with the Ebullient Nullification that it uses on the pull. After initial hate is established (flash, foil will suffice) start applying buffs to the party and dispelling/debuffing Fu. RUN starts with Epeo and switches to Lionheart after buffs/debuffs are applied. Fu doesn't absorb runes, dematerialize, etc. so feel free to use whatever you prefer there.
BRD/GEO Buffs: Indi-Refresh, Ballads, Haste/Marches to decrease Magic Finale recast.
RUN Buffs: Shell4, Hasso, Pianissimo Honor March, Pianissimo Victory March. Optional: Entrust Indi-Fury.
Fu Debuffs: Geo-Frailty, Dia2, Distract, Carnage Elegy. Optional: Slow, Paralyze, etc. GEO/RDM should have no problem landing debuffs even without Focus/Languor.
Keep hitting Fu with magic finale in-between applying buffs and debuffs to remove anything that it absorbed on the pull. RUN switches to Lionheart and uses resolution until 75% when Fu will use Ebullient Nullification again. At that point switch back to Epeo, turn to avoid feeding TP, and repeat the buff/debuff cycle from the initial pull. Repeat this process at 50%, 25%, and 10%. Use Bolster at 25% and Soul Voice at 10% to speed things up. Epeo/Dimidiation can be used full-time for additional safety but it's somewhat slower. Fu doesn't absorb aftermath effects so AM3 can be kept up fulltime.
Accuracy was easily capped at 1260 before buffs. Damage taken was never an issue except for the occasional nuke immediately after Ebullient Nullification that would do up to 1800 (which is still well below the max hp for a hybrid set). Using a weaponskill set that keeps some hybrid/meva pieces equipped will also help to ensure that you don't take too much damage while WSing.
If you're having difficulty with accuracy or attack then mix up the buffs. Victory march can be replaced with haste + madrigal/minuet or you can just use additional songs. Even when I accidentally opened with a 9 buff pull he still didn't do anything too egregious before I was able to finale it all off of him --cpu (talk) 00:15, 22 April 2020 (EDT)
==== two box Strategy ====
Sam and Whm, sam tanks and dps with sylvie and brygid out if possible(can be done without trust), The whm stays at 20 on the sam and just keeps them topped off, shell 5ed and hasted. Sam can us hasso between nullifications, save meditate for after the nullifications to spike damage and kill faster. --Drakelth of Bismark 2021-11-26
==== Solo Melee Strategy ====
DRK Solo strategy
- ML35 DRK/RUN
- Apocalypse R0
- Ignis, Ignis, Barwater
- Trusts: Kuyin, Monbereaux, Koru, Joachim, Kupipi, replace Kupipi with Yoran or Apururu if you use those trusts.
Open Ignis runes and 4 buffs to get absorbed by Fu. Runes and Aftermath do not get absorbed.
Run in, tag Fu with a melee attack, and move back so only Kuyin and you are on one side of Fu and Mobereaux + rest is at max distance. Immediately after being absorbed and moving far enough away that Fu has to move to you use Nethervoid + Darkseal and Drain III. With +48 Drain Potency, +45% NV Potency, Orpheus Sash, MACC+257 and Dark Skill +78, was able to drain 4-5K HP each time, while Fu is in DT+ state, don't bother trying if NV+DS is not up and Fu is not buffed.
Get Barwater on, Arcane Circle + Crest, start killing
Dread Spikes get 100% resisted unbuffed, seems to be around 75% while buffed, generally not worth trying to get up, but is worth it during Mighty Strikes, so consider using Dread Spikes at 75% then don't bother after.
I usually stick to Catastrophe self SC while Fu is buffed, if using Ratri WS gear be sure to time between swings, with just +18% DT a crit hit while Fu is buffed can hit for 3k
If Fu is unbuffed: 3k, Cross Reaper -> Catastrophe -> Cata or Quietus.
If you have a good MEVA set, such as Sakpata, switch to that when Nukes are incoming. Warder's Charm +1 and Archon Ring, gets a lot of mileage in this fight, Carrier's Sash for more Ele Resist.
While Fu is buffed, usually take 350-500 damage hits in full DT, at 4-5 buffs.
When reaching Thresholds, hold until NV+DS are up again, then move back and cast it, Fu is stuck in an animation for a few seconds after absorbing, which gives enough time to cast Drain III.
Fu usually uses Mighty Strikes, after 75% but can as soon as 90 if a bit of a slow start.
With 5-6k HP Mighty Strikes are not a threat, if Drain III was resisted, consider using Blood Weapon to counteract the damage.

==== PUP PUP COR ====
COR buffed with pet rolls, both puppet masters engaged using Overdrive from the start. I used Fire ,Light and Thunder manuevers, and the SS OD set from the String Theory PUP guide EXCEPT we substituted the armor pieces for Taeon for the additional DT while overdriving. We stood just inside the 20 yalm radius from Fu so he can absorb the buffs and not deal us damage and just fired away with our modified OD sets. It took the whole 3 min from OD, had to repair twice and use Dawn Mulsums while it was down, was overall a successful run. --Al105alx2 (talk) 15:20, 19 December 2021 (EST) --Doumeki from Shiva
==== Strategy ====
PUP SMN SMN GEO COR. Use GEO to feed Fu buffs for Ebullient Nullification. Using puppetmaster, feeding him 8-15 buffs is perfectly reasonable. Volt Strike for capped damage. Fu will go down quickly. --Safiyyah (talk) 23:34, 18 March 2019 (EDT)
==== BLU/RUN Solo ====
BLU/RUN: Start by giving him A Few Buffs. Pro/shell, Barspells, Aquaveil. Use runes beforehand as well. he cannot absorb runes/Barrier. Run in & cast Flash. Cocoon > Move to A Corner. Tene & melee down. if you have any buffs up right before next nullificaiton remove atk/def buff. during animation of nullifications use Cocoon. Then sit in DT+HP+BathyChoker Set.(Still Do WS.) Be cautious on DMG VS 75% as he could Mighty strikes.. Keep up Occultation as well. Mighty Strikes: Use Droning Whirlwind. Beyond that keep doing that Until Dead. WARNING: If you are going To Dispel nullification right after. Wait until aura is up. if you dispel during animation, there is a chance he will act as if he absorbed 0 buffs if they all got dispelled. Causing him to take normal DMG + INSANE Intimidation.
