Talk:Magic Accuracy
From FFXI Wiki
Notes from the page creator
Everything we know about Magic Accuracy is inferred by measuring Magic Hit Rate. As such, it is meaningless to call dINT "negative Magic Evasion" instead of "positive Magic Accuracy." I just arbitrarily put it on this page because positive numbers make me happy. --Byrthnoth 13:51, 17 June 2011 (EDT)
Day/Weather Bonus
- Devs have answered a question about whether day/weather items like Elemental Obis improve magic accuracy.
- https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/threads/353-%E6%95%99%E3%81%88%E3%81%A6%EF%BC%81%E9%96%8B%E7%99%BA%E3%81%95%E3%82%93%EF%BC%81?p=565500&viewfull=1#post565500
Q: [On Haruspex Slops,] What does "Elemental Magic +5 depending on day" mean? It seems to be +40 for day of the week, strong weather, and Twilight Cape using the elemental obi, but I'm wondering if it would be +45 with the Haruspex Slops... This would only increase the calculation by 3.6%, so maybe it doesn't matter. Here's another story, Weather/day of the week increases the damage of Elemental magic, etc., but tell me if it affects Magic Accuracy as well! A: Qualities such as weather and days of the week that have an effect on magic damage also have an effect on magic accuracy. This applies not only to Elemental magic, but also to Enfeebling magic. When taking part in a solo battlefield, please take these qualities into consideration when refining your tactics.
- I read through the resources listed on the Magic Accuracy page, and their sources have said that if a day/weather bonus did exist, it isn't statistically significant and would be a huge waste of time to separate the day/weather effect from normal fluctuations.
