300 TP
300 TP fTP reported on jp wiki is 5.25, but this is almost certainly wrong based on my testing (also linked from the main page.) If I calculate the fTP from my maximum damage there (assuming it was maximum pDIF) then I get 5.32 fTP after subtracting the Gorget. This exceeds 5.25, so their fTP can't be right. Given the small sample size, it's entirely reasonable that I didn't hit the true maximum. At the moment it is listed as 5.35, though 5.4 or 5.5 are also possibilities. --Byrthnoth 13:28, 23 January 2013 (EST)
After looking at the rest of the data, my 1744 minimum damage puts the maximum fTP at 5.3955... So the 300 TP fTP is between 5.32 and 5.3955... I am taking this to mean 5.35, though honestly our understanding of pDIF, the equation, etc. are all so shakey that I'm sure I haven't entirely ruled out 5.4 fTP. --Byrthnoth 13:31, 23 January 2013 (EST)
It's also worth noting that the 200TP Rudra's Storm fTP is purely interpolation between 3.25 and 5.25 from SG as far as I can tell --Byrthnoth 13:35, 23 January 2013 (EST)
I'm not sure why, but when I repeated this test with the below stats I got a different result (5.25 fTP - checked by Motenten). --Byrthnoth 02:11, 25 January 2013 (EST)
200 TP
I did some testing to address the above issue. Using a level 99 Twashtar in East Ron with DNC/THF (SA is still broken and gives its full DEX base damage bonus:
- 2988, 3246, 3248, 3303, 3352, 3357, 3357, 3397, 3439, 3462, 3481
- 120 STR, 199 DEX, +9% Crit damage (Athos pants, Charis Feather), +100 TP Bonus (Centovente)
- For 4.25 fTP, the damage range would be 2901~3482, frequency increase above 3316.
- For 4.3 fTP, the damage range would be 2929~3514, frequency increase above 3348.
- For 4.4 fTP, the damage range would be 2982~3579, frequency increase above 3409.
Any of the above values are technically possible, but in my opinion 4.3 is the most likely. Increasing the fTP from 4.25 to 4.3 does not change how many datapoints are above/below the projected frequency increase. I prefer 4.3 to 4.25 because it does not seem very likely that I would both fail to see the bottom part of the range and almost exactly hit the upper part of the range while not getting any hits closer to the mode than I did. --Byrthnoth 09:45, 24 January 2013 (EST)
Given the confirmation of the 300TP value at 5.25, I will go with parsimony and assume this is 4.25 again. --Byrthnoth 12:11, 5 February 2013 (EST)
Main Page values
Motenten brought up an interesting theory in PMs, that all anchor point fTPs are in terms of 16ths, so there were actually very few possible values for the 200 and 300TP points. I have updated the main page to reflect this. Looking at my old testing data from the link on the main page, it seems that 3 + 4~6/16 would technically work, but I still stand by 3.25 because I think it is more likely that I would hit the high end o the range than the low end. I would not entirely discount 3.3125 as a possibility, though. --Byrthnoth 13:55, 24 January 2013 (EST)
100 TP
Looking at the raw data from the JP side, 3.25 fTP is pretty much set in stone. With a Daka +2 on level 90 DNC and 88 DEX, the tester had a damage range of 965~1165 without a Gorget and 1014~1176 with a gorget. This rules out any fraction of 16 other than 4/16. --Byrthnoth 15:19, 24 January 2013 (EST)
