Talking to Ruillont first did nothing for me, and none of the guards would give me the bronze sword. Turns out, at least in my case, I had to speak to Galaihaurat at E-6 before descending into the canyon to proceed with the mission. Didn't edit the page because it was on a private server, albeit one with a supposedly retail client. Regardless, if it doesn't work, try speaking to Galaihaurat. -Starfleet
