THF/DNC + Trusts

"Solo'd" as THF99/DNC (full 119 gear, including Mandau 119) with Red Curry Bun and Trust NPCS : Kupipi, Koru-Moru and Ulmia. The strategy was simple and straightforward : Engage the Marolith, then move back so that your Trust NPC's are out of range of the NM's AOE attacks. Every time a Gargouille pops, switch target to it and kill it (Aeolian Edge works well on the Gargouilles if you have more than one to kill : 1500+ damage when I tried) then resume killing the Marolith. Make sure /autotarget is on and you never disengage after killing a Gargouille or your NPCs will come towards you and get in AOE range, forcing you to move away again. When things go well, this is very easy, however something will probably go wrongbefore the end of the fight. On my first try, Tectonic Shift ruined the fight at 10% (full Encumbrance + fairly high damage). On my 2nd (and successful) try, near the end of the fight, for some reason the incoming Gargouilles started going after Koru-Moru instead of me, which was problematic, since I couldn't bring the Marolith near my NPCs to kill the Gargouilles. --Soily (talk) 09:57, 7 December 2014 (EST)

Trio

Moved this from the main article :

  • Forward and to the left of where you start there is a mob Primogenial Marolith. He hits a very well geared pld/dnc (full 119 af, 90 Ochain, 119 excal, 2 -5% PDT dark rings, flume belt, twilight torque, weard mantle) for 38 to 100 (no phalanx) points of damage from the front. He is assisted by Gargouille Drudges. They come from behind him one at a time. There seems to be no limit to how many can show up. I have very little information about them, as we basically ignored them. They hit for 38 to 50 without phalanx and from behind. While this doesn't seem like much, if you choose to ignore them as we did, if something should happen and the whole group shifts behind you, and you have 10 or more of them on you, death can be swift. For us, this happened with the Marolith at about 1%, so our Geo casted fire and killed it before the garg's could kill me, I should also note, they terrorized me. The Marolith uses tp moves that can cause blindness, slow, silence, as well as damage. His TP move hit me for 260. We took a blu as well who was extremely well geared (read: mythic and similar equips) and he died very swiftly, twice. He was hitting Chant du Cygne for 2200, to 2500 hp. After about 2 minutes we had enough adds on us to make my ws'ing nearly impossible. I 2hr'd to keep hate off the Geo, it's not needed though. Good Luck!

PLD and DNC duo

Your average PLD and subless DNC duo! TP moves weren't too bad hitting for mid range damage. PLD fights the Marolith and DNC does DNC things. Saving TP for WSing the gargouilles as they come pretty quickly. They do not hit very hard at all. A quick estimate would be they have ~2,800 HP. The fight didn't take very long at all and was pretty much a joke, but still fun :P
