MDT Sets?

Wouldn't it be useful to include MDT sets in the DT section of the guide ? Right now the DT sets focus only on PDT (50%) with at most 31% MDT. I don't know if it's possible to get 50% MDT but maybe it could include stuff like Odnowa earring (NQ and +1) etc ? --Soily (talk) 03:34, 20 September 2018 (EDT)

Keep in mind though that Shell functions as MDT and Protect merely as defense. This means you generally shouldn't need more than 26% MDT. You could get down to as little as 21% with a proper WHM and Sheltered Ring and still cap MDT so an MDT set will focus on ~25% MDT with evasion and absorption pieces. --Spicyryan (talk) 08:18, 20 September 2018 (EDT)

Kaja Knife and Tauret

I didn't notice I had to ask for changes to equipment sets. Sorry. Can revert if that's what's needed.

Anyway, my rationale for Kaja Knife and Tauret placement is that somebody that can get the group needed for Escha Ru'Aun weapons can get Kaja Knife just fine and Tauret mostly just comes down to either luck or grinding out the 25k merits and 297 Crystal Petrifacts, which is way more involved even if the fights themselves aren't hard at all. You don't have to as it is a community guide. As long as you update when the sets last were, and replace my timestamp signature with yours then all is well. At least a note beneath mine saying "kaja/tauret sets --~~~~". I can't steward every guide, and the goal was to set it up so that someone like yourself would improve bits here and there in my stead. Thank you for your assistance, and in the future I will look over it.

It also isn't as hard to get a glowing weapon for Tauret as people act, and certainly less involved than grinding out 25,000 merit points. Which is not a quick or easy task and certainly would burn people out and lead to general complaints of ignorance. Which happen already, but you get the idea.

I went through the DRG guide and brought it up to par with the new augments, gear, etc. Given that the THF spreadsheet involves even more work and neglect. As well as knowing how much work even DRG took. Are two of the largest reasons I didn't even touch the THF guide and add even the Tauret.
