  • Hi Spicyryan, for the BLU spell Saline Coat have you tried in game recently ? When I cast the spell it display 3min in the upper status bar of the game itself but the spell wears off at the 1min remaining mark. There is no "by second" count down like other speel. I did unload any plugin and timed the spell duration manually and it really last 2 minutes for me. --LordAttilas (talk) 14:15, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
    • There is a bug with the spell at the moment. Where the in game timer reports the duration should be 3 minutes, but the spell is wearing off after 2. This does not mean the spell is supposed to be 2 minutes, and requires a bug report to be made on the official forums. I will edit the page to note there is a bug. --Spicyryan (talk) 18:38, 7 December 2024 (UTC)

Resolving Various Things

I don't know how else to message you on this thing, this seemed like the only way. While you already know I don't quite understand the code or tables entirely used around here.. I am still trying to work with it all. I have to figure out the correct msg method for staff questions.. an I need to figure out why someone else is undoing my work around here page to page.. I didn't come here to fight people who disagree with my edits/formats. Waterdust (talk) 11:42, 19 February 2025 (UTC)

  • Have you spoken to whoever is doing it? --Spicyryan (talk) 14:17, 19 February 2025 (UTC)

I want to but wanted to make sure this kinda page was the way to be doing anything like that. I'm not even sure how many rollbacks were done in total or why. It's one thing to edit it's another to just "undo" someone elses work without a reason. I'm doing what I can to make my edits look better but thats taking time. My edits are usually done in real time with the game active to confirm what I'm entering here. Waterdust (talk) 16:13, 19 February 2025 (UTC)

  • Your concern is admirable, but I am no longer a staff member. If you want my advice though, text styling should be of value and wordage concise whenever possible. Less it create excess noise or redudancy on a page.
Otherwise, this edit could use this template in the future. Example: Graubg. Lettuce

The horn item your referencing is one of my bad edits (there not all like this though >.>), however I felt the data needed to be there no matter what else it be lost. If others have the time to undo my work they could with their editing skill being better improve my work. Least thats how I see things. As for you not being on the admin team.. I do see that in a different log (by sheer chance I stumbled upon it an I know not how) but at the same time.. no one updated the list here on this page if you scroll to the bottom. Waterdust (talk) 21:05, 19 February 2025 (UTC)

  • Yes I agree in at least putting something there as long as it is simple, as you did. Nothing wrong with helping like that. I've seen your edits/comments and generally I still watch the edits, I simply don't do anything about them anymore. Just like I don't see a reason for myself to get involved in this instance either. Didn't think I'd receive a message about it the next day either, lol.
As for the list, of course they didn't change it. I would have been the person to do that, lol. No one coordinates shit anymore unless you throw it in their faces, like me telling you this publicly.
Anyway, I know having your edit undone can be upsetting, but you didn't do anything that was really wrong or problematic. So just do your thing, keep in mind what I said above, and don't worry about it. Without the few someones like you that donate their time, there be no community or wiki. Then those jokes in the Discord wouldn't have a worthless titles to idly sit on.
Thank you for the time you've given to the community, and I hope you enjoy yourself. --Spicyryan (talk) 21:57, 19 February 2025 (UTC)

A collective effort is great on paper (it seems) but if all the users congregating at the location are unable to remove the toxicity.. or are enabling it then the library and/or all its intentional value they seek to build has no meaning. I only bothered you because your name was on that page I showed you. I don't really understand this sites design an so it makes operating it quite challenging. Especially if the attitude (I encounter most of the time) in summary = "get gud bruh"; that makes learning anything impossible. No one should have to worry about a ban for just trying to question someone else. Also I do appreciate the kind words from you, I'm not sure if your the same person with the same name from SE's forum (who trolled me relentlessly) but if you really are then it seems you improved your personality; otherwise what a coincidence. Waterdust (talk) 12:57, 20 February 2025 (UTC)

  • A collective effort is nothing without leaders, and then it but a waste without quality leadership.
I wouldn't say impossible is anything but self-fulfilling. Which I say after learning from nothing on this site a decade ago. The basic editing is easy enough to pick up from the get-go, and then you just encounter stuff over time. Don't worry about a ban. Again, the people in charge of that won't do anything or even notice unless someone tells them, and it have to be pretty bad for that.
Also, everything in context. I didn't often post on the OF, but there aren't many SR's out there. I'm sure I've misbehaved in regards to whatever you are recalling, but there's no interest or motivation for that anymore. So, np, YW, and good luck. --Spicyryan (talk) 14:21, 20 February 2025 (UTC)
