Template talk:Spells
Recommend changing Spell Description to the type of spell (weither elemental, enfeebling, dark, divine, etc...)
Category will be added instead of altering Spell Description. In all actuality, I had it planned but put the wrong info in the template. Altered. TheBlackrose 00:30, 22 September 2007 (CDT)
Cell Padding
Right now, the left padding on the cells is done using non-breaking spaces (nbsp). It would probably be better to do the padding using the actual cellpadding HTML attribute instead; as it is, when things wrap onto more than one line (as automaton spells sometimes do) it looks really strange. Template Parameters
Not sure where else to post this so it's going here.
Right now we're copying/pasting the source from this template each time we make a new spell page. When somebody (inevitably) wants to change the formatting for spells that means we'll have to hand edit every single spell page...yuk. If given permission I would be more than happy to turn this into an actual Wiki template using parameters so that we won't need to worry about that.
For those unfamiliar, with a template we would just do something like {{spellblock|Cure|WHM 1|RDM 5|PLD 7}}
and the template code will automatically create the tables we need. Obviously the real template will include a lot more parameters than that but you get the idea.
This way, if we ever want to change the way spell pages look we can edit this master template and all of the pages will change automatically. It'll save us a lot of hassle in the long run. Lokim 16:21, 24 September 2007 (CDT)
