I have been playing FFXI as Araius on Valefor since PC release in October, 2003. I started as RDM main and have been such for the vast majority of my playing career. I was a member of the linkshell DarknessFalls and its predecessors for 3 years before its disbandment in late 2006/early 2007. With DarknessFalls I was a pearlsack holder and commonly organized events including Kirin, Jailer of Fortitude, Dynamis (cities and northlands), CoP forced pop NM's, Divine Might, and others.

Since DF's disbandment I have been playing off and on with the linkshell Unwanted, a social LS. I still attend events including Assault, Dynamis, and Limbus with various players, often with connections to the HNM LS Ultima, however time restraints, past issues with some former members of said LS, and a loathing for kings have prevented me from joining an HNM LS myself.

I, along with my semi-static group of 6-8 people, was one of the first NA players on the server to complete the CoP missions (before the various nerfs, including the early Promyvion one) as well as Apocalypse Nigh. When ToAU was release I immediately unlocked BLU and made it my new main as much as I could. I spent a lot of time in my middle levels contributing to various sources regarding BLU skillchain elements, including but not limited to Wiki and Aden's Renkei Chart.

For the past 2 years I have hopped between FFXI and WoW, my highest character being a 51 Druid on Kargath named Phoemae. On Kargath I'm a member of the DarknessFalls guild, a conglomeration of former members of the LS by the same name on FFXI as well as various friends and acquaintances (both RL and online). The DarknessFalls guild is similar in endgame to the DarknessFalls LS, that is to say they dabble in end game activities, but don't have the manpower, time, and/or leadership to take on the most difficult raids. My WoW account is currently inactive and will likely continue to be until near the release of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion.

I returned after a 2 month hiatus from FFXI a week prior to the release of the WotG expansion. In order to circumvent SE's shipping issues with the PC version I torrented and seeded the EU version thanks to the BG community, and purchased a PS2 version of the game for the code. Thanks to this I was the first NA Scholar on Valefor, and plan to take the job to at least 40, though my passion for the job is nowhere near what it was for BLU. Nonetheless I plan to be a contributing member of the SCH community just as I was with BLU.
