Theoretical best in each slot is perfect augmented merlinic, but that's goddamn impossible to get, requiring potentially thousands of stones each piece. Augment is Dual +15 and +25 in macc and matk. Even pieces that approach the BPD and MAB amounts of apogee may be useful because all the useful apogee pieces do not have MACC.
Enticer's pants are better than apogee up until you're capped with TP, then apogee pulls ahead. Merlinic again may be better, but good luck on augs.
