Returning to FFXI one QoL change that is not well known is the change to doors and gates that required multiple party members. This is similar to the Portal Charm quest which allowed you to bypass the requirement of needing a RED, WHITE and BLACK Mage to open the gate in Inner Horotto Ruins.
- The Original: Portal charm
- This allows a player to open lever operated doors in Halvung solo: Bracelet of verve
- Used to open the doors in the Eldieme Necropolis by yourself: Magicked astrolabe
- Allows players to open the large door to the inner Sacrarium at (H-7) solo: Temple Knight key
- This replaces the Physical Delkfutt Key you get off Porphyrion: Delkfutt key
- Take your physical key, Open the door and the KI will appear. You can then /toss the Physical Key.
- Opening The Weighted Doors in Quicksand caves solo:
- KI: Loadstone
- Quest: Open Sesame
- Opening Banishing Gates in Garlaige Citadel solo: Pouch of weighted stones
- For opening the Gates in Jugner Forest (S): Sliced pole
