Area: Apollyon North East
- Zone Information
- Apollyon North East is reached via the Crag of Mea.
- Floors one through four have three, five minute time chests as well as a restore chest on the ground when you reach them.
- You can open all chests on all floors.
- The Items chest as well as the vortex that leads to the next floor are both found from different bosses on each floor.
- This zone is best suited for a melee heavy setup.
Suggested Consumables
- Tanks: Sushi, 4~Poison Potions, Reraise, 40~Shihei
- Melee: Meat, 4~Poison Potions, Reraise
- Mages: Ginger Cookies, Reraise
First Floor
- Normal Enemies: Barometz x6, Borametz x6 (Mandragora)
- Bosses: Goobbue Harvester x1 (Goobbues)
- One of both the white and black colored Mandragoras will be larger than the rest, these 2 mobs in addition to the boss each have a chance to drop the item chest or open the vortex to the next floor.
- All mobs on this floor link, including the boss.
- Groups of 6: Kill only the two large Mandragoras and ones that are blocking a time chest unless you do not get the vortex from either large one, in that case you must fight the Goobbue for the vortex.
- Groups of 10+: Clear the floor.
Second Floor
- Normal Enemies: Cornu x4, Sirin x4 (Birds)
- Bosses: Thiazi x2, Bialozar x2 (BOSSES, Greater Birds)
- Of the four bosses on this floor, one will drop the item chesh and one will open the vortex to the next level.
- Each time chest and the restore chest are guarded by one boss and 2 normal enemies.
- The two normal enemies will link with each other, but they do not link with the boss.
- Use poison potions on the bosses here to manage Horde Lullaby. They also frequently cast Carnage Elegy and triple attack.
- The bosses have a TP move called Giga Scream, this can deal upwards of 1600 damage to a Ninja tank.
- Groups of 6: Kill only the bosses until you get the vortex. Then sleep the remaining mobs on the time and restore chests before you move up.
- Groups of 10+: Clear the floor.
Third Floor
- Normal Enemies: Apollyon Cleaner x3-12 (Magic Pots, number adjusts to amount of parties in alliance)
- Bosses: Apollyon Sweeper x1-3 (BOSSES, Dolls, number adjusts to amount of parties in alliance)
- On this floor one of the Dolls will always open the vortex, and one of the large Pots will drop the item chest.
- The Dolls do not link with the Pots, but the Pots will link with each other.
- The Pots are good for coins, take as many as time permits.
- Groups of 6: Only pull the Dolls until you get the vortex, then move up.
- Groups of 10+: Only pull the Dolls until you get the vortex, then take the pots until you at least get the item chest.
Fourth Floor
- Normal Enemies: Kerkopes x8 (Opo-opos)
- Bosses: Hyperion, Okeanos, Cronos (BOSSES, Gigas)
- Each Gigas here is immune to a type of damage that never changes. Hyperion is immune to magic damage, Okeanos is immune to ranged damage, and Cronos is immune to melee damage.
- One of these Gigas will open the vortex and is not the same one every time.
- If you are forced to take Cronos for the vortex your group had better have at least one BLM and/or a few RNGs.
- Gigas here do not link with Opo-opos but the Opo-opos will link with each other.
- Kill as many Opo-opo as possible, they are fast kills and are good for coins.
- Groups of 6: You should have some time to take a few Opo-opo on this floor, they are very easy to kill. Try to pull the Gigas first and then pull the large Opo-opos for the item chest. Don't spend more time than you have, you will need at least 15 minutes for the last floor.
- Groups of 10+: This floor can easily be cleared with the exception of Cronos, avoid Cronos if at all possible.
Fifth Floor
- Normal Enemies: Troglodyte Dhalmel x8 (Dhalmel)
- Bosses: Criosphinx, Hieracosphinx (BOSSES, Manticores)
- The Dhalmels drop 2 coins each and are very easy to kill, but watch out for healing breeze.
- You can pull the bosses separately without linking if you pull the one on the left first, and your puller stands as parallel to him as he can get.
- Groups of 6: If you have less than 15 minutes when you move up to this floor consider skipping some Dhalmels and killing only the ones necessary to move up the left hand side and reach the bosses.
- Groups of 10+: This floor is the easiest of all to clear, kill all Dhalmels and then good luck on the Manticores.
