Purpose of Removing Semantics
I'm still not understanding why we're removing all of these attributes. I thought it was a really really fantastic implementation when the items were first put into the system by Taj. Are we planning another method to link items together to search for them by certain attributes? :/ It just seemed really awesome, and so I've always been hesitant on removing the semantics until about 2 months ago. ~ Goddess ~ TalkContrib 00:27, 1 April 2008 (EDT)
Member In Transition From Wikia
This wiki generally has a different feel than the (now) Wikia FFXI info, and I was wondering if it's intended for items to generally have no links (except jobs) to where they come or go, as in "Bronze Subligar" for example. How to make it, where to buy it, what recipes it's used for, quest links are all good info but obviously it's tedious (but necessary?) to have everything go both ways like the Wikia one. Do people just use the 'what links here' and follow intuition from there or is there still serious linking to do? I know I would do my part if there's a template for it. "Template:Weapon" (for example) doesn't have all the info. Sorry I didn't know where else to ask this. Hilkiah 15:40, 10 June 2008 (EDT)
