Historical Reference

Caladbolg, sometimes written as Caladcholg or 'Hard Blade' was the legendary weapon wielded by the Irish hero Fergus mac Róich from the Ulster Cycle of Irish mythology. It was said to have been a colossal broadsword capable of cleaving the tops off of hills and decimate entire armies in a swing. This is likely why Torcleaver is attached to it.
