Step-by-step example

I found the description of this process very confusing (both on the Wiki and in-game) and wanted to make a quick "how-to" explaining the process in more granular detail.

In this example, we assume the player's main job is a level 30 WAR.

• Speak with the Magian Moogle (Green) in Ru'Lude Gardens at (H-5)
• Choose Take on a trial.
• Choose Warrior.
• The moogle will provide details about Trial 4424. The menu options will look something like this:

 Required item: Fighter's Torque
 View details.
 Reward items: Fighter's Torque (refers to the upgraded Accuracy+3, Attack+3 version)
 ----Preceding trial:
 None.
 ----Resulting trial:
 None.
 End confirmation.

• Select End confirmation.
• The moogle will ask you if you want to take on Trial 4424. Choose Sure!
• The moogle will then give you:
  • The Fighter's Torque, which is inscribed with the trial details.
  • The Magian learner's log, if you don't already have one.
• Go out and obtain the necessary upgrade item — for Trial 4424, it's the Shaman Garlic.
• Return to Ru'Lude Gardens at (H-5).
• To the right of the Magian Moogle (Orange), there is a Delivery Crate. Place the the Shaman Garlic in the crate using Trade.
• Trade the Fighter's Torque to the Magian Moogle (Green).
• He will announce that you've completed your trial, there will be a celebratory scene, and the upgraded Fighter's Torque will be in your inventory.
