Talk:Atma of the Lightning Beast
Spell Interruption Rate
I went out with a variety of gear on RDM/NIN to test this, and warped and changed my merits once. Pchan showed that spell interruption rate caps at 102%, and I confirmed that that hasn't changed. I took a bunch of gear out to Abyssea - Altepa and rounded up a hoard of mandies. 101% Interrupted. 102% didn't. Then I put on the Atma and went back to find the interruption/non-interruption threshold.
- Tarutaru Sash, Adapa's Slacks, Willpower Torque, Warlock's Tabard +1, Eremite's Wand, Hermit's Wand, Impatiens, and 2 merit levels (88%) with the Atma prevented interruption completely.
- Karasutengu, Warlock's Tabard +1, Eremite's Wand, Hermit's Wand, Impatiens, and 2 merit levels (87%) with the Atma allowed interruption still.
This is with 30+ mandies beating on me, over 10 minutes in the non-interrupt case spamming spells. Now, assuming that this is a /256 or /1024 system, I could be off by 1% and I wouldn't know just because of the way the gear adds up. I'm not that anal about it, and I agree that it would be nicer if it was 15% than 14%, but 14% is the number I got and it's consistent with SE's handling of things like PDT Atma. 150/1024=14.6%, after all --Byrthnoth 21:13, 27 June 2011 (EDT)
