So it's 2024, we don't really care, but the 200-damage-cap thing works weirdly with weaponskills, because I got a Savage Blade off for 642: [1]

SB is two hits, but where did the rest of the damage come from? Maybe it's a really, really soft cap and I managed to +atk through it? BattleMod is obviously not helping matters. -Staplerguy (talk) 01:18, 20 June 2024 (UTC)

Your comments suggest you're most likely a COR/NIN (Fellow's subjob is based on your subjob: they can use /BLM or /NIN). Were you using a Naegling for Savage Blade? That would add 15% Savage Blade damage as a unique multiplier. Up to 230 per hit. Let's say that's 455 from your main hand attack. Off-hand gets a normal swing on the attack round, estimate 187. 455 + 187 = 642. If you didn't have a unique weapon bonus, there would be only 42 extra damage to explain: a bonus in the 9~14% range. --Shynoe (talk) 23:13, 20 June 2024 (UTC)
