From FFXI Wiki
I don't want to keep a million tabs open. Here's my specific to-do list, which tends to gain more than one item every time it loses an item:
everything with Item Monster Table -> IMT2:
https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:Item_Monster_Table
that's the entire list.
Missing Mob Drops:
- Sheepskin
- Twitherym Scale
- H.Q. Eft Skin and H.Q. Scp. Shell which makes me suspect lots of HQ monster parts
- Hippogryph Tailfeather
- Dragon Blood (the info in the notes)
Missing Synths:
- Durium Sheet
- Durium Chain
- Tin Ingot
- Grass Cloth
- Willow Log
- Darksteel Chain
- Luminicloth
- Steel Ingot
- Lynx Leather
- Bomb Ash, Iron Sand, Djinn Ash
- Brass Ingot (two are listed. it has more than that.)
- Mahogany Lbr.
- Whetted Molar
- Slime Oil
- Water Tank
- Silver Sheet
- Gold Sheet
- Eschite Ore has two lines of "all 119 synths" which should be a distinct synth list instead
- Coeurl Whisker (has some synths, but is missing others)
- Gnat Wing
- Hi-Ether Tank and Hi-Potion Tank
- all the other medicines now available at the Curio Vendor Moogle probably don't have their synths listed either
- Artificial Lens
- Kilo Pump and Hydro Pump and Mega Pump and Mega Fan and really the entire Category:Charged Ammunition cause it's almost all used for like one random PUP attachment each
- Ice Anima and the other seven animas
- and Mana Willow Lumber and Rugged Bugard Leather and basically everything else that is a KI required synth using anima probably
- Water Bead and the other seven beads
- Fulmenite and the other, what, 63? other gems
- Lots of other low-level crafting materials are probably missing synths and I just haven't looked at them yet
- everything from a seasonal event doesn't have the two-copies-of-it synergy recipe linked as a recipe, just as a "related item"
- Sticky Rice
- Bronze Bugget
Missing both Drops and synths:
- Lizard Skin
- Hippogryph Feather
- Imp Horn
- Colibri Beak and Colibri Feather
- Giant Stinger has only two mobs listed and there are many more
Other stuff:
- San d'Orian Conquest items don't have synths listed because I forgot they existed until I was doing Windurst and I'm real dumb
- List synths on all the
crafting key items for fancy multi-synth recipes
- the consumable items used are mostly undocumented to the point where maybe some of those Leathercraft synths don't even exist, ffxiclopedia contradicts itself
- Curio Vendor Moogle as source for a bunch of Ammo is not entirely documented I think - the Moogle -> Quiver -> Ammo pipeline may not be entirely present on some or all
- about half the BCNMs of various types don't have enemy pages that exist, even if they don't really need/get/have much info, I just hate broken links
- also some of the various weirder entry instanced fights (like the Moblin ones and the Dragon ones) have poorly documented loot - go through their pages, click through, add drop source and so on
- all the loot from normal BCNM 20/50/60 also probably isn't documented much, I did 30 and 40
- Mog House Gardening as item source for many items
- ...not to be confused with Garden Furrows which is mostly done but not entirely done
- per SR, use Template:Garden Table (see Vomp Carrot) for the former and Template:Furrow Table (see Revival Root) for the latter
- plus Garden Furrow plantable stuff is just a note, there's no template
- like Mythril Leaf
- ...not to be confused with Garden Furrows which is mostly done but not entirely done
- Mezzotinting on the useless Alluvion Skirmish weapons is almost totally missing
- ...even if nobody cares in 2024
- monster pages for all the trash mobs in Adoulin zones - ffxidb has mostly-complete drop rate data for them, ffxiclopedia has many of them listed but some are even in the wrong zones because nobody has cared
- disambiguation link on every NPC that is also a trust to the Cipher for that NPC
- the Imbued Items that drop in Salvage do not have any info on their individual pages (see: Mediocris Cell etc)
- there's not actually a page that lists everything you can buy with Chocobucks. each individual item links to the very small Chocobuck page that has links to the three NPC, but those NPCs don't have shop items listed, that would be kind of nice tbh
Things I know that I don't plan to do anything about:
- there's an entire batch of orphaned Monstrosity items that almost don't exist in-game (they're the no-description-visible "items" used in the Customization menu to set your species, you can't interact with them in any way that I know of, there's no reason for them to have pages other than looking hilarious).
- possibly propose deletion on these, but they are in the game data even if they're stored in a distinct inventory from your actual inventory that you never get to see, I guess...
- ??? Item appraisal. not gonna list their contents OR their sources, cause it sucks all around
- Chocobo Hot And Cold Game page does not exist, which I am not qualified to do even if I steal from ffxiclopedia
- Category:Plant does not exist, but mog gardening/regular gardening items seem to think it should
- Evolith information if there's any that isn't already there
- there's the the ffxiclopedia evolith page, and I haven't googled it, but I'm sure there's more. see also Scylds, Hunts, the broken link red name NMs that are Hunt-only that got added late enough that they don't have pages, anything that Dumo hasn't done with doing the armor sets etc
- Chocobo Digging added as an item source on individual item pages
- the loot tables for it are also likely out of date even relative to ffxiclopedia, but who cares?
- Pankration has more red links than any other two pieces of content combined
- update every Synergy template to link properly to the Synergy recipes pages, should be automatable
