V15

PLD, DNC, SMN, GEO, COR, WHM

GEO did haste and fury.

DNC did steps, got AM3, then spammed rudra's storm.

COR started with beast and drachen on smn, did samurai and chaos on everyone else (rolled while fighting for time saving).

SMN did buffs, then impact, then Garuda Predator claws.

RUN WAR SAM BRD COR WHM

COR: Samurai + Chaos Rolls

BRD: SV Minuet x2, March, Honor March, Scherzo

WHM: Boost-STR, Baraera, Barsilencera. Maybe should have Barfira / Baramnesra?

About 1million HP

Plan: Throw DD at it, WHM spam Erase/Curaga. Damage from TP moves seems low, just lots of Flash & Bio. It has cone Dispel TP move, rebuff as needed.

WHM BRD COR RUN DRK

WHM: Prot/Shell, Barfira, Baramnesra, Boost-Str, Auspice

BRD: HM, Victory March, Minuetx2, Elegy, Requiem

COR: SAM & Chaos

Use standard buffs to cap Haste and fill Attack. Barfira / Baramnesra. Bring 1-3 DDs with Piercing damage. Tank should face the NM away from the party to prevent DDs from being dispelled via Bewailing Wake, or losing TP via Cathartic Caper. Tank will repeatedly be fully dispelled, so rebuff as required. Flash and Bio can be Erased. Only minor healing is needed here, most of its abilities are low damage, and its auto-attacks are not a threat.

Simple Melee Burn Tank DD DD COR BRD RDM Bind/Grav/Sleep add --Wota (talk) 09:38, 12 January 2022 (EST)

For a one and done:

  • PLDicon.gif PLD, BRD, COR, RDM, and two of the following: SAMicon.gif (Shining One icon.png) SAM, WARicon.gif (Shining One icon.png) WAR, DRGicon.gif DRG, THFicon.gif THF, DNCicon.gif DNC, RNGicon.gif RNG.

The BRD sings March, Minuet, Minuet, Fire Carol, and DDs. The COR uses Chaos and Samurai The RDM uses Haste 2 on the party, Sabo Addles the NM, sleeps and binds the add, and cures if needed. The PLD gets an entrust Refresh before entering and/or brings MP restoration meds since Refresh will constantly be lost.

IMO, DRG is ideal for enmity reduction as you don't want the DDs getting conal dispelled or TP reset constantly. DRG also pairs nicely with a quality THF (if you can find one that exists) as you don't want to stand behind the person with hate, and the THF can Trick Attack the DRG without consequence to reduce their own enmity gain. Otherwise, you just use any DDs to beat on the butterfly until it stops flying.

Alternatives for when the "good jobs" were used already as part of a x3 NM farm sequence:

  • RUNicon.gif RUN or PLDicon.gif PLD, DNCicon.gif DNC, THFicon.gif THF, RNGicon.gif RNG (or DRG, SAM, etc), RDMicon.gif RDM
  • Same plan as above.
  • Where DDs cap or nearly cap from Samba and Haste II
  • GEO is also fine here instead of a DNC for indi haste and fury and entrusts refresh if needed so the PLD can main heal.
  • RUNicon.gif RUN or PLDicon.gif PLD, DNCicon.gif DNC, DD, DD, SMNicon.gif SMN
  • Where the DNC passively tanks the add while fighting Dealan-dhe and curing.
  • This is easier with a spare GEO or BRD to Minne or something, but ignoring the add is fine with a DNC.
  • SMN uses its typical buffs then rotates in Siren to DD, and releases to either buff, avatar heal-ga, or Pacifying Ruby.
  • The DDs just power through the amnesia, and use magic evasion sets and food like Sakpata or Malignance and Popotoes Con Queso
  • RNG works again for this as they can be out of range.

V25

Job setup: RUN BLM SCH RDM GEO COR

Strategy: Four-step Skillchain with Magic Burst Ice. SCH Luminohelix > SCH Geohelix (Distortion) > COR Leaden Salute (Darkness) > COR Wildfire (Darkness) This is a very similar strategy to that used on Leshonn/Gartell in Sortie, or Aita when it is in Wind form. One add will spawn and one SP will be used at 75% and 40%. The debuff aura may or may not change after 40%. In this strategy, we let the RDM control the adds and focus on the Skillchains and Magic Bursts to kill it quickly.

COR: Crooked Wizards / Samurai roll. Shoot to generate TP to participate in the Skillchain.

GEO: Geo-Malaise / Indi-Int / Entrust Indi-Acumen. Bolster is most impactful if used after 40%. Burst during windows.

RUN: Applies Rayke and Gambit to reduce Ice resistance rank.

BLM: Burn and Impact, press all the Blizzard spells.

RDM: Crowd control the adds, Burst when available, buff/debuff as needed.

SCH: Hailstorm II, Embrava to cap Haste, Cryohelix II, Burst during windows.

If done correctly, your group should clear this with at least 9 minutes left on the timer. Credit for the strategy goes to Phayde of Phoenix. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5In-DxuURkQ

You can also bring a standard piercing composition to this fight. PLD, DRG, DNC, BRD, GEO, COR can effectively kill both adds and the main boss within the 15 minute time limit. It is also viable to kill only one add, or none at all, depending on your group's DPS potential and communication.

A 4-man strategy for V25

Party Setup: GEO, SCH, BLM, PLD + trusts (Valaineral and Monberaux)

GEO: Indi-Barrier with Valaineral and Monberaux to tanks the main boss. BOG + EA Malaise, entrust Indi-INT on mages.

BLM: Burn, Impact at start, MB 3x per SC. Spam aspirs, Mykrr for MP.

SCH: Regen the party, don't waste your charges on other buffs. Cast storm on yourself and BLM. Use Klimaform on yourself. Make Distortion ends with helix every 30 secs. MB 2x per SC. MB Helix2 at start and mid of the fight. Spam aspirs for MP. Embrava the party at 40%.

PLD: Tanks both adds and acts as the main healer.

Around 4-6 SC and it should be down to 40%. SCH, BLM, GEO 2hr after that to take it down quickly. Around 3 mins left on the clock.
