Talk:Peirithoos
Easy to tank on BLU/RUN after your very mediocre PLD says "My X button isn't working guys I am going to relog" and never comes back of course. After you agreed to help someone because they saw you write these testimonials on BGwiki. Go figure.
Anyway, very easy to kill with just three players (need that number to pop) if at least one is bringing the DD power. Apururu trust is an unreliable WHM for this, but can sorta work most of the time. Better off bringing a real WHM.
To be honest a seasoned and geared BLU/war or run can solo this with neither trusts nor any cures just by using sanguine blade with a mdt macro exclusively. Not sure if time would be an issue doing this. This is of course after your party dies from not having a WHM and you are left alone with simply cocoon, barrier tusk, flutter, and sanguine blade as your survival tools. Very fun when this happens. --Spicyryan (talk) 10:00, 5 October 2015 (UTC)
The key to this fight is mitigating Scintillant Lance. It can hit extremely hard. So it's a trivial solo for rune fencer and puppetmaster. Other potent solo jobs with the ability to deal with that amount of magic damage include red mage, paladin, beastmaster, and blue mage. It's possible to kill with a strong DD job but when you pull hate from the Trust tank it requires a strong element of luck not to be killed quickly. -- --Safiyyah (talk) 02:17, 4 August 2018 (EDT)
I was able to fight Peirithoos quickly and reliably with trusts as a BLU/WAR with decent but not stellar gear, especially lacking in DT reduction. I called Valaineral, Matsui-P, Apururu, Joachim and Koru-Moru -- in that order as positioning the tank is critical. Even Valaineral is usually able to survive Scintillant Lance with buffs, and if he does not you'll likely survive it yourself with the use of Saline Coat. Just don't fight him on Lightsday. Having a reliable skillchain partner like Matsui-P is advisable as Darkness makes quick work of this NM. Of further note is that Peirithoos will absorb melee damage after casting Meteor, but not physical blue magic damage. --Eithin (talk) 15:18, 9 April 2021 (EDT)
