Talk:Vermillion Fishfly

From FFXI Wiki

This fight is actually incredibly easy with an AoE magic burn setup.

Setup of PLD (to pop) WHM COR BLU BLM, and the fight was cake.

At first we had the PLD using circle blade then sentinel to keep hate for an extra moment, but it was just a waste of time.

I used a DT idle set and would start off with an Enervation followed by Blinding Fulgor and at this point the mobs were generally on me for the brief 10 seconds or so the fight lasts from that point as AoE nukes keep rolling from the BLM and BLU.

This definitely looks like an easy BLU solo. I will try it later to see. --Spicyryan (talk) 06:03, 27 September 2015 (UTC)

Extremely easy solo as a BLU. Used Spicyryan's starting rotation, followed up with Spectral Floe, Tenebral Crush and then spammed Subduction. Trust used: Star Sibyl, Brygid, Monberaux, Koru-Moru and Cherukiki. Just do not forget to engage... --Dagna (talk) 13:52, 29 September 2020 (EDT)

Followed above advice and had good results...

Once popped, I made sure to engage as per the above advice, then went into spell rotation of Subduction (for initial hate on all) -> Spectral Floe -> Entomb -> Tenebral Crush (often killed most if not all at this point) -> Subduction (for any stragglers). Overall the fight took me about 2 minutes consistently. Be sure to re-engage if the fly your fighting dies and others are still alive. Defense food works best here. --Pog (talk) 12:50, 1 April 2022 (EDT)

In 2024, it still a somewhat easy fight on BLU/WAR, but it can get out of hand real quick if RNG is against you. For most fights its dead by the 3rd nuke, but sometimes your trusts are just sleeping on the job and you might get overwhelmed. If you can have a "real" healer it's probably more consistant. The fight it pretty short though, usually get get in 2 or 3 fights per Defender cooldown. Usually toss in a Mighty Guard for fun, as you get fully healed when you pop the NM's. -- Solo DNC/WAR ML30 2024. Very easy, just pop fan dance in a DT set and spam Aeolean edge

I switched targets while TPing a bit to try and keep them on similar hp. I dont have a particuarily good Aeolean set, Nyame R0. Took 3-4. I saved reverse flourish for the end so I could do 2 back to back for the killing blows

Trusts: Cornelia, StarSibyl, Apururu, Ulmia, Koru-Moru
