Now that I've written something in this spot, hopefully my account won't be randomly deleted again, 'cause that's kind of crap to have to remake it for no reason.

Accounts aren't randomly deleted. When was the account made? The wiki accounts were merged with the forum accounts some time ago. This is generally the source of issues for those old accounts.--Spicyryan (talk) 08:36, 26 August 2019 (EDT)

I created the account some time back in 2017. I thought even back then it said that the wiki used the forum accounts but I could be wrong about that. Anyway, in more recent times I went to log in and found myself unable to do so because of an invalid user name or password. Of course I assumed I simply forgot the password I used after several failed attempts. When trying to reset the password, however, a vague error message was given and simply said to contact an admin. At this point I filled out the contact report to do so about the issue. More than a week later I received no response and was still unable to log in or reset the password. Now assuming perhaps my account was deleted for inactivity, I tried creating a new account under the same name to see if I'd be told the account already exists, but instead it let me re-create the account. Interestingly, it did grandfather or let me inherit my previous wiki edits after the re-creation. Everything appears to be fine now but on the off-chance that users without a user page are more susceptible to deletion (however paranoid that sounds or small a chance that may be) I went ahead and entered something stupid here just to have something. It's probably just as you said though and something about account merging caused my account to vanish. It's a shame I did not receive an e-mail forewarning this event in order to make arrangements as it happened, but it is what it is. --Suminagashi (talk) 13:48, 26 August 2019 (EDT)
