Picture not accepting new pic as default pic

Info on uploading

No idea how to link a uploaded pic to a page /sigh, I suck at this, Got lucky with Amaura and thats about it Songen (talk) For images, they need to be named after their page. For instance, Amaura (A) worked because you properly named it "Amaura_(A).png" the others are not named after their NPC page. Atma_Fabricant needs to be "Atma Fabricant (A).png" Funkworkz (talk) 16:32, 12 June 2017 (EDT) I tried uploading it again with the new name to match the page, however the site recognises the picture right away so it refuses to let me upload it. After a few more tests i ended up realising i was miss a underline " _ " between the words and i managed to get atma fabricant to load on his page, however the site continues to request for uploading the pic on the right side of the page even after my pic has been linked I.E PNG Format:File:Atma Fabricant (La Theine).png or JPG Format:File:Atma Fabricant (La Theine).jpg Since i'v figured out the link problem i had, I don't want to continue further with linking other pics since that is probably against how you would like this site run, could i request a deletion of the recent pics i'v uploaded so i can reupload with correct spelling or is there a way to remove the sites request for new pics even if theres a pic avaiable? --Songen (talk) 07:04, 13 June 2017 (EDT) After you upload an image you need to edit > save the page for the image to reload into the cache and then itll display on the page. If you upload a new image of an old image with the same name, the cache sometimes takes days to display the new image. Funkworkz (talk) 09:55, 13 June 2017 (EDT) OK I know what your running into. Make sure the extension in the destination field on the page is the same as the image your uploading. You cannot upload a .png image and make it into a .jpg on the wiki. Funkworkz (talk) 10:11, 13 June 2017 (EDT) I'v just tried again with Callort_(A), i selected png as you said then uploaded the pic then clicking upload, I get the same error message as yesterday "This file is a duplicate of the following file: Abyssea Callort.png" Your site's extremely smart since it seems to detect if a pic is exactly the same as another thats already loaded. i even changed the pic's name on my computer to Callort1 and it still detected it. I think I f**ked up badly by uploading all my pics first (Thinking i could link it thru general coding)instead of uploading by the link on the page directly --Songen (talk) 04:33, 14 June 2017 (EDT) Oh, click the button "Ignore errors" before you hit submit when you go to upload. For example: http://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/NewPageHere then click the create button in the top right. Mostly all of our pages have uniformity, so check another npc page for the template to copy/paste. The templates usually work off of the page name. On the Category:Templates can you add a link at the top of of the page just below the "Contents" box which links to https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Contents page? Also on the main BG hyperlink bar (The one that sits on the left side of the screen no matter what page your on) in the "Guide" section can you add the https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Contents as well? I have been looking for that help contents page and couldn't find it till now, hopefully it'll help anyone new (Like myself) in learning the basics.
