To celebrate the real-world Valentine's Day, Square-Enix created Valentione's Day, a time for love.

Festival moogles will appear at the locations listed below during the event period.
Speak with any of them to get the skinny on how you can join in on the festivities.
The moogles have prepared a variety of special rewards for those successful in their mission.
You may only try this event once per game day.
Walkthrough
- After talking with one of the moogles listed above, speaking to a Valentione Single of the same sex as your character will give you two half chocolate hearts, the type of which vary by race and sex.
- Note: This event cannot be completed alone. You must have another PC of the opposite sex as you in order to obtain the other "halfs" of the chocolates from the NPCs. If you do not have this, all you will get when speaking to opposite sex NPCs is a message to visit a moogle.
- Additionally, be sure to "Give up" at the moogle to reset your progress before beginning. The game remembers where you were across each years event.

- An NPC will tell you what kind of person they're looking for in a romantic partner via two parameters: race and personality type. You must try and match the heart halves to best suit the potential couple's desires.
- Their own personality type is revealed by their dialogue, see the Personality Type Chart below.
- Personalities are set upon starting the event for that game-day; so if the male Elvaan in Windurst is Shy, then all male Elvaan in each Nation will be shy for you until you give up or finish.
Left Chocolates are the "client piece" and are tied to the NPC that gave them, while 
Right Chocolates hold that person's personality type and race and are traded to other players in order to form the match for your "client".

- An NPC will tell you what kind of person they're looking for in a romantic partner via two parameters: race and personality type. You must try and match the heart halves to best suit the potential couple's desires.
- Once you have an opposite sex PC, both of you should visit all eight NPCs as you and collect all 8 chocolate segments. It is important to stay close to each other when visiting all NPCs. Doing so will increase the probability of matching each other's NPCs. You will not get 100% matches for all NPCs, but your score will increase.
- Make note of each of the NPC's personalities by writing them down if necessary.
- Trade one another the four "Right" segments you have collected, then tell each other which race is which personality type.
- Trade a Left and Right half chocolate hearts from NPCs of opposite sex to the moogles to combine them into a whole chocolate heart.
- Each of you should now trade the chocolate heart back to the appropriate Valentione Single that you received it from to accumulate points based on how well the match suited the "client". You only score your own points. Your partner's score is insignificant to your score.

Hello...I may not look like much, but I do hope to meet a nice guy... Why, hello! This looks like quite an exciting event, doesn't it? I hope I can also meet a nice guy. Hiya! I've been waiting for you, sugar! Going to find a real sweetheart for me, are you? Yay! Male Shy Cool-headed Honest Cheerful N-no way! I can meet...a woman? One that...likes me!? ...Oh, wow! Hey, I heard you're playing the matchmaker around here. I have been waiting all my life for this! You'll match me up with a girl, right? Wow, me and a girl, together! Imagine! Oh, I've been waiting for this moment! You'll help me find my perfect woman, right? Wow, thank you!!!
- Speak to the Moogle again after trading all 4 same sex as your character completed hearts to their respective NPCs to see how good your pairings were and give you a choice of a possible reward. Each "round" of points you score are displayed to you. You also have a hidden "accumulated" score throughout the event. The accumulated score affects if you are eligible for the +1 pieces.

Help a lovelorn chocobo find the right "kwehs" to express their affection by talking to the following NPCs:

You may only try this event once per game day.
The event consists of a series of three minigames; if all three games are completed successfully in a row, you will complete the event and win the 
Tender Bouquet the first time and a variety of other goodies on subsequent completions!
First Game
- You are presented with a 5 x 5 grid from which you need to choose three spots for the chocobo to dig.
- Some of the spots are empty, while some will have gifts. Based on the NPC interactions, the locations of gifts may have to do with the time of day and day of the week.
- If you find at least one gift, you will move on to the second game.
Second Game
- You have three chances to tell the chocobo the right words to say to move on to the third game.
- The password "I Love You" will always work for this game.
Third Game
- You must choose one of three paths to lead your chocobo to the female chocobo.
- After several seconds, a rival chocobo will appear and occupy one of the three paths (if you have not selected one), or one of the two remaining paths if you already have selected one.
- The chocobo will follow the path of greens from left to right and turn (up or down one track) whenever there are greens to turn to. If the rival and your chocobo turn into each other, they will turn back around and continue moving horizontally across their line until they come to another plant to turn to.
- Note that there is a random element as well - if you choose the correct path, the female chocobo may still not love your chocobo in return, and if both your chocobo and the rival chocobo choose the wrong path, the female chocobo will choose between the two.
- Should you fail, trading a Gysahl Greens to the NPC will let you try again.
