Base Damage

Base damage is calculated as the sum of these following terms:
- Weapon Base Damage (D)
- Ammo Damage (if the calculation is for compound ranged weapons) (aD)
- STR-VIT bonus/penalty (fSTR)
- Ranged and melee weapons have slightly different fSTR functions.
- Weapon Skill Secondary Attribute Modifier (WSC) (only for WS Calculation)
For normal attack: Base Damage = D + (aD) + fSTR
For weapon skill: Base Damage = floor((D + (aD) + fSTR + WSC)* fTP)
This value is then multiplied by the Attack/Defense Multiplier, pDIF, to arrive at the actual damage.
For players with Thief as their main job:
- base damage on a Sneak Attacked normal hit is calculated as Base Damage = floor(D + fSTR) + Total DEX.
- base damage on a Trick Attacked normal hit is calculated as Base Damage = floor(D + fSTR) + Total AGI
- base damage on a Sneak Attacked weapon skill is calculated as Base Damage = floor((D + fSTR + WSC)* fTP) + Total DEX
- base damage on a Trick Attacked weapon skill is calculated as Base Damage = floor((D + fSTR + WSC)* fTP) + Total AGI
