Category:-na Spell
Status ailment recovery spells are one of the main subsets of Healing Magic spells. All status removal spells are natively learned by White Mage and most of the spells can also be utilized by Scholar under the effects of Addendum: White. Note that while Erase is a status removal spell, it is classified as Enhancing Magic.
The effect of status removal spells is to remove debilitating status effects (debuffs) from other players.
While most status removal spells are associated with a single type of debuff, Erase encompasses a large amount of potential debuffs (although it has no overlap with other -na spells). Sacrifice and Esuna are spells that are unique to White Mage that have varying effects depending on the currently active Afflatus effect.
Although they are not considered status removal spells, Cure Spells can be used to remove Sleep and Nightmare effects.
The job trait Divine Benison and gear which enhances it adds additional Fast Cast to spells in this category, and reduces the Enmity associated with their casting.
The job trait Divine Veil allows any spells in this category to be turned into AoE spells by using the job ability Divine Seal. Gear which enhances Divine Veil gives a chance for this to happen spontaneously at any time.
