PUP Solo

For those who don't know, PUP solo w/ Overdrive is really simple for this. The only thing about this is you have to use attachments that you can equip without the elemental boost from Job Points. Below is the setup on the automaton I use.

• Head: Harlequin Head
• Frame: Valoredge X-900

Attachments:

• Target Marker
• Turbo Charger
• Turbo Charger II
• Steam Jacket
• Auto-Repair Kit II
• Armor Plate
• Armor Plate III
• Tension Spring III
• Stabilizer
• Stabilizer II
• Magniplug
• Magniplug II

The strategy is very easy to follow.

1. Use Fire Maneuver, Lightning Maneuver, and Light Maneuver
2. Target Fe'e
3. Deploy
4. Use Overdrive
5. Attack Fe'e and Howling Fist every 1000 TP
6. Repair as needed, usually I use one oil +3.
7. Win!

Slightly different PUP solo

No need to use Overdrive or melee yourself. You can just throw an automaton at it and use Fire/Light/Thunder maneuvers while staying more than 15' from it to avoid Maelstrom.

Loadout:

• Valoredge Head / Valoredge Frame
• Steam Jacket
• Magniplug
• Magniplug II
• Tension Spring IV
• Turbo Charger
• Turbo Charger II
• Heatsink
• Optic Fiber
• Auto-Repair Kit III
• Armor Plate III
• Armor Plate II
• Stabilizer V

Others:

• Grape Daifuku
• Automat. Oil +2 - from Gavrie for Repair maybe every 4 fights. Could just wait and heal up between fights if you are less impatient than I am.
• Warp Ring or Instant Warp
• remember some kind of Animator

Fights take a bit less than 4 minutes without Overdrive or something like a minute with. It's around 7 minutes per BC including running for a new orb. My loadout is unlikely to be optimal, so a better PUP than I could probably get it lower. I've done hundreds of orbs without a Kraken club drop, but you get about 100k/orb in NPCables at least. --Byrthnoth (talk) 02:46, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
