After 50% it seems to absorb wind based skillchain damage. Radiance, Light, Fragmentation was healing it.

Probably absorbs all wind damage.

Vengeance 0

We were able to get a win using PLD, PUP, COR and GEO (plus 2 Healer Trusts). PUP did Overdrive at beginning of fight and did most of the damage. COR rolled Beast and Companion's for PUP. GEO did Geo-Frailty, Indi-Fury and Entrust Haste on PLD.


Very easy win on our first attempt with PLD, WAR, GEO, and WHM using Monberaux and Joachim as trusts. We had no complications and it went down quickly with the WAR doing all the damage. PLD tanked with Burtgang/Aegis, Majesty curing for hate and keeping everyone alive, meleeing in a magic evasion-focused set (Sakpata's). WAR used Shining One and meleed in full Sakpata's, waiting until 1,750 TP (and +250 with Moonshade Earring) to use Impulse Drive. GEO gave attack/haste buffs. WHM buffed and kept us all alive.

SAM DNC COR BRD SMN WHM

SMN: Ecliptic Howl, Crystal Blessing, Crimson Howl, Hastega2, Noctoshield, Earthen Armor, Wind's Blessing

COR: Samurai + Crooked Chaos Rolls

BRD: SV Scherzo, Wind Carol 2, Honor March, Minuet x2 (on melee). Ballad, Dirge (on mages).

WHM: Baraera, Barpoisonra, Boost-Dex

Xevioso weak to piercing, has about 2.2 mil HP. After using Droning Whirlwind it'll gain wind aura animation, need to proc *!!* Red then Blue in under some time window (maybe 5 sec?) to remove.

Red *!!* Weakness: Critical (Normal & WS) Blue *!!* Weakness: More Criticals (Normal & WS) Subsequent wind aura gets harder to proc Blue *!!*

Can use Perfect Dodge once.

Plan: SMN use Apogee then Astral Conduit to buffs at start. Use Pacifying Ruby on WHM as fight go on. SAM use polearm and Stardiver to reduce critical evasion. DNC Box + Feather Steps. COR BRD fight too to try kill faster, and proc *!!* faster. DNC help cure with Curing Waltz / Divine Waltz. Melee bring Panacea for Incisive Denouement, and Remedy for paralyze/poison. WHM Afflatus Solace + Sacrifice on Curse (Healing) from Stinger Volley? Can't remember for sure, but it has a move that give Curse (Healing)?

WAR (2nd DD any of: THF, DRG, SAM, DNC) BRD COR GEO WHM


WAR save Blood Rage if Aura goes up, should be off instanteously with two piercing DD. WAR (or other DD) make sure you use Stardiver to lower crit evasion. COR Random Deal after aura is down to make sure it is back up before 5min timer just in case, otherwise WAR save Mighty Strikes as a backup. WAR should be in a hybrid set for -50% DT, which should be easy to obtain with a mix of Sakpata and other gear.

Bring panaceas as the DD to remove stat down. Turn around during weakness to not feed TP. Make sure you voke after the enmity reset from Denouement.

Baraera from WHM and Boost-DEX. Make note of Zombie effect. Keep up Solace for Sacrifice. Haste DD

BRD does Honor March, Minuet x2, Wind Carol II, Schzero

COR does Chaos and Sam rolls and can shoot from a distance.

GEO does Barrier, Fury, and Indi-STR. If they are a good GEO, they can probably put up Indi-DEX when aura is up.

WHM: Haste, Prot/Shell, Regen IV, Baraera, Barparalyzra, Boost-Dex, Auspice, Aquaveil, Stoneskin, Sacrifice

After buffs, WAR pulls with Provoke. DDs stand around Xevioso taking care not to stack on each other to avoid multiple hate resets. Damage up to 75%, upon which THF Larcenies and you can continue with damage. BRD and THF can melee or not, but I prefer less players engaged to reduce TP feed. WHM should prioritze Sacrifice for Zombie, then All Stats Down. Ygnas tends to Paralyna before a human can react, and will help with Cures. Hate should bounce around the DDs, even with enmity resets. THF can Accomplice the WHM to help reduce their enmity.

V15 Zerg strat - Aburaage, Asura server

WAR DNC COR BRD GEO WHM

WHM: Haste, Baraera, Barparalyzera, Boost-DEX. Zombie cannot be cursna'd, but can be Sacrifice'd.

BRD: SV Honor March, Minuet V, Blade Madrigal, Wind Carol I, Scherzo. Debuff: Pining Nocturne, Elegy though in my experience Xevi resist even with Nitro/SV up and maxed macc gear, but if you can land it, great. 2x Ballad the WHM. BRD doesn't need to melee.

WAR: Warcry at the start, save Mighty Strikes after Perfect Dodge. Provoke Xevioso when DNC gets weakened or zombie. Use Stardiver to apply crit debuff, then Impulse Drive the rest. Pop Blood rage when Xevioso uses Droning Whirlwind. Bring Panacea, use it on all-stat-down debuff.

DNC: 10 stacks Box Step (Defense down step) at the start, Saber Dance, then do the DNC 2hr wombo combo to proc Perfect Dodge ASAP. Animated Flourish (DNC Provoke) when WAR gets weakened or zombie. DNC don't need to heal at all, it's a zerg strat.

After Perfect Dodge wears off, start applying Feather Step(Crit) to 10 stacks, while maintaining the Box Step.

2hr combo: Climactic > Rudra > RF(Reverse Flourish) > Grand pas > Rudra > RF Rudra > Trance Rudra > RF Rudra > RF Rudra > make tp > Climactic > Rudra > make TP > Rudra

Bring Panacea, use it on all-stat-down debuff.

COR: Chaos/Sam roll, we don't use rogue's roll because effectively this is a zerg strat, we kill under 4-5 minutes. COR can melee and do Last Stand, optional but helps a lot for proc'ing, Tauret mainhand if need more crit, otherwise Path B rostam should work nicely with Malignance gears. 4/5 or 5/5 Loaded Deck merit is very nice here to reset warcry/blood rage and climactic/reverse flourish Bring Panacea, use it on all-stat-down debuff.

GEO: Geo-Fury, Indi-Fend, Entrust Indi-Attunement.

GEO is an optional job here, we have killed V15 Xevioso with 5 man, without a geo or trust. BST with Killer Instinct(Lizard) and Corosive Ooze(Slug) works beautifully in place of GEO if you wish to save it for another NM.

The faster you proc Xevi's perfect dodge, the safer the fight will be, because occasionally Xevioso will do Droning Whirlwind very early and during Perfect Dodge. This is not a death sentence by any mean, the WHM just will have to do a little cure bombing. Pull Xevioso downstairs and fight in open area, positioning is very important for this fight. Most of Xevioso's TP moves are conal so DDs, COR, and GEO should position themselves accordingly.

For example: West=WAR, East=DNC, North=COR, South=GEO, At range 18+ South=WHM & BRD.

As stated in the jobs description, WAR and DNC bounces hate off each other, and only Provoke/Animated Flourish if one has Zombie/Weakness. Sakpata and Malignance are very nice here. COR is there as a 3rd melee just in case it does multiple hate resets in a row and Provoke is down. Melee should use Panacea for all-stat-down debuff. DNC Grand Pas & Trance combo should bring Xevioso's HP to 75% or less by the time combo finishes, if the DNC is geared. By doing this zerg strat, Xevioso should only do 1 Droning Whirlwind, 2 if you're unlucky, still easily proc'able.

All in all, this fight should last about 4 minutes.

Vengeance 20

Composition: WAR DNC COR BRD WHM RDM
General Strategy: Pull the boss to the bottom of the stairs, near the archway. Position the 4 melees (WAR DNC COR BRD) around the boss in an "X" pattern, with the WAR and DNC bracing against the pillars of the archway due to knockback and conal damage. Position the RDM and WHM on the stairs, so in case they pull aggro on xevioso, the mages and melees can simply swap positions. RDM will keep add bound away from the boss. DDs, pay attention to your buffs because Xevioso does a single-buff dispel (Droning Whirlwind); call out missing buffs when you see them drop off so supports can reapply. If add spawns with aggro on a DD, they should bring it closer to RDM until it is Bound or Slept, then return to fight. The WHM should quickly get aggro on the add after that so don't need to move it around anymore.

Aura we got: Magic Atk. Down

WAR: Start with Armor Break at 3k TP (9 minute duration, might need to reapply later in the fight). Occasionally do Stardiver for the Crit Evasion Down debuff. Don't use Berserk (too squishy). Capped DT set 3k+ HP. Spam Impulse Drive. Try to keep Blood Rage and Warcry up as much as possible. Call for resets from COR for this. When you get hit with Zombie or Weakened debuffs, allow other DD to pull aggro off you. Make sure to use capped DT in every set. Use a cool lockstyle.
DNC: Maintain Box Step and Feather Step. Use a Tauret and spam Evisceration. Use Climactic Flourish + Rudra's Storm whenever it's available. Keep up Haste Samba. Don't use Fan Dance (to keep up Samba), don't use Saber Dance (so you can help heal). Help with healing when necessary. Make sure to have capped DT in all sets, especially TP set and Evisceration set.
COR: Crooked Cards Samurai's Roll, Chaos Roll. Do Random Deals and Wild Cards when WAR wants them. Keep capped DT in engaged set and WS set. You might end up with aggro at some point due to the boss's single target hate reset ability. Use Fomalhaut + Last Stand for damage normally. During proc phase (after Droning Whirlwind), switch to Tauret and spam Eviscerations to help proc.
BRD: Start with Soul Voice + Clarion Call, Honor March, Minuetx2, Wind Carol II, Scherzo. Reapply songs on DDs as they get dispelled. If fight goes too long and you have to redo songs with out SV or CC, do an Honor March, Minuet x1, Wind Carol II, Scherzo. Use Tauret and spam Eviscerations on Xevioso. Make sure you have capped DT in all your sets.
WHM: Keep up Baraera, Barparalyzra, Boost-DEX. When DDs get Zombie debuff (icon looks like Curse/Doom), use Paralyna on them first if they also got Paralyzed, then use Sacrifice to take Zombie off. Zombie prevents all healing on the player who has it, so don't bother wasting time Curing without taking off Zombie first. If DDs get dispelled, make sure to reapply buffs as they get lost. You will probably end up with enmity on the add at some point so make sure your idle, fast cast, and midcast sets all have capped DT.
RDM: Put Phalanx II on everyone. Keep Haste II and Refresh III on WHM. When WHM is busy with removing Zombie, help with healing. Frazzle and debuff Xevioso. When add comes out at 75% HP, you or WHM might have aggro on it at this point but if not, wait for the DD with the add aggro to bring it over to you. On the add, start with Saboteur Frazzle II, then Frazzle III. Cycle through Bind --> Gravity II --> Sleep I --> Sleep II --> Bind --> Sleep I --> Sleep II (repeat cycle until Bind or Sleeps land). Once add is slept, keep casting Sleep II, Bind and Gravity II until they stick too; similarly if it is bound first, keep casting Sleep II and Gravity II on it until it sticks.

SAM or DRG are substitutable for any of the DD slots. Although any setup should include a DNC.
You may also take a RDM to sleep the add in exchange for one less DD if you wanted. This is not a hard fight to comp around.

THF: DD and use collaborator at your discretion.

DNC: DD, debuff, and backup heal.

WAR: DD. Armor Break will not land unless the Aura is on.

COR: Crooked Chaos, and Sam, and DD.

BRD: Honor March, Victory March (in case of dispel), Minne, Wind Carol, Scherzo.

  • With haste from the WHM, it is safe to use a Minuet x1 instead. Especially if your setup is sleeping the Chapuli.
  • You have enough attack buffs and defense debuffs to still defeat the mob without a Minuet.

WHM: Be a WHM, and also eat Miso Ramen.

Straightforward fight. This setup just ignores the add.

Vengeance 25

WHM WAR COR BRD DNC GEO

BRD: Honor March, Scherzo, Minuet x2, Wind Carol 1 for frontline, Honor March, Ballad x2, Minne x2 for WHM. Melee with Rudra's/Evisceration during aura. Apply Carnage Elegy/Pining Nocturne.

WAR: Shining One Impulse Drive. Try to save Blood Rage for Droning Whirlwind. Mighty Strikes after Perfect Dodge #2.

COR: Crooked Chaos Roll / Samurai Roll. Stay back and shoot/Last Stand. Wear a strong defensive set when going in to Random Deal/Wild Card. You will likely be tanking an add, so consider DT in midshot sets.

DNC: Apply Steps. Focus on damage but heal when necessary. Climactic/Rudra's. Grand Pas after 40% Perfect Dodge for damage push. Trance when you feel healing is needed.

GEO: Geo-Fury / Indi-Barrier / Entrust Indi-Fend. Bolster after 40% Perfect Dodge. Widened Compass the Bolster bubble, as WHM may pull enmity late due to all the hate resets.

WHM: Baraera/Parparalyzra. Boost-STR. Haste 1 everyone except COR and GEO. Regen 4 everyone. Auspice. You absolutely must have a Cure/DT hybrid set. Bonus points for having a SIRD set for if Aquaveil drops. Use Aquaveil. Dia2/Paralyze/Slow when you can. Don't Silence Xevioso, its casting time is the safest you'll ever be. You will be tanking between 1-2 adds for at least 50% of the fight. Chug viles. Rebuff when possible. Be aggressive with Sacro/Asylum/Bene, but we aware that you are at risk of one-shot when approaching Xevioso. Don't volunteer to come WHM to this.

Everyone: Use Panaceas for the love of fuck.

Note that in V25, Xevioso takes zero damage from any source that is not Piercing or Ranged.
