- Found past Diaphanous Gadget #F in Sortie. Need a Ra'Kaznar Shard #F to access.
- Requires a Ra'Kaznar Metal F to limit its abilities
- Abilities depend on which element is visible in Gartell's hand.
- Thunder: Zap, Concussive Shock, Undulating Shockwave.
- Zap: Copies one debuff from Gartell to all party members in range on each use.
- Because of this avoid applying strong DoT effects as Gartell may transfer them to anyone in range. It may be especially dangerous to use a magic bursted Helix, this practically guarantees a 1-shot kill on anyone inflicted with the DoT effect.
- Undulating Shockwave: Deals damage.
- Changes to Wind hands after.
- Wind: Chokehold, Tearing Gust, Shrieking Gale
- Chokehold: Steals one buff from each party member in range and transfers it to Gartell.
- Absorbing Shell V will make nuking strategies significantly more difficult. Anyone in range should consider cancelling the buff and wear appropriate -DT% to compensate.
- Shrieking Gale: Inflicts heavy Wind elemental magic damage and knocks back.
- Changes to Thunder hands after.
- Tearing Gust: Inflicts a heavy Magic Defense Down effect akin to Geo-Malaise.
- If this effect lands remove it or Gartell's attacks could do increased damage.
- After 3:00 has passed since engagement Gartell will begin summoning Gyve on the player atop his enmity list. These deal Wind or Thunder damage, the color of the Gyve will indicate which.
- In addition to dealing damage the Gyve inflict a very strong Shock and Choke effect of -296 each.
- Strongly advise the tank to move out of these Gyve and apply a Erase or Panacea to remove the effects, even if briefly. Gartell does significantly more damage with your VIT and MND reduced this much.
- Dealing elemental damage (including Skillchains) matching the element currently displayed will heal him for extreme amounts and force a rage activation.
- This also applies to Level 3 skillchains. Do not use a Light skillchain or you will force the Wind AND Thunder alignment procs.
- Gains a stacking DT Effect (approx. 5%), and a stacking damage up effect (approx. 5%) for every time Gartell uses a nameless attack. Which looks like he is sucking in the air around him.
- Proc Conditions and effects:
- The stacking Damage Dealt +% effect Gartell gains also applies to his Gyve. This can be extremely dangerous if Gartell is left without a for an extended period, especially when factoring in the VIT Down effect of Choke.
- Condition: Any elemental damage opposing his currently selected element has a chance to proc blue, with higher damage almost always producing a blue proc.
- Magic bursting strongly advised to ensure the best chance of a .
- Effect: Removes DT/Damage up stacks each time you successfully proc.
- Effect: Has a chance to disable the oldest elemental aura he had in effect.
- Its hands can possess elemental aura effects, which determine the TP moves it has access to and its elemental Resistance Rank.
- Wind hand: 70% Ice, and 5% for other elements.
- Thunder hand: 70% Earth, and 5% for other elements
- Wind and Thunder hands: Exact value not tested, but only Ice damage will be effective.
