119 BLU/WAR ML12: Easy solo with Trusts (Selh'teus, Iroha II (both for extra healing), Yoran, King and Qultada). I tried with a tank and BRD, but like others pointed out - they got deadweight rather quickly. Basically normal DD spec and solo light SC or with Iroha and it'll be dead fairly quickly. I played it safe with blink and cured myself < 1500 hp. Never used antidotes (cause I forgot to buy them). Only died once due to a unlucky stun from the boss. 119 NIN/DNC Very easy solo with Yoran / Koru / Ulmia / Jaochim / Kupipi. The BRD trsuts became useless fast, doing things like Ballad and Paeon. Keep poison off yourself, because trusts don't seem to remove poison very fast. Keep shadows up. Do self skillchains to kill it faster. You shouldn't have much trouble here at all. -+19:51, 22 August 2023 Shperax
Annoying solo with a solidly geared BLU and trusts. Only fought him a few times, so I didn't really develop any special tactics. I use Selh'teus, Iroha II (both for AE healing), Yoran, King and Qultada. My health regularly spikes (and I require self-healing) as Yoran's attention is on the rest of the party, even with the AE heals from TP moves helping out. He seems to use Poison Storm a lot! The above advice is still great if you want to solo Mephitas. I fought him a number of times as BLU/WAR, though with Apururu (UC) instead of Yoran and Joachim instead of Qultada, for some extra healing and Poisona ability. Apart from that, I found these things to be helpful:
- Bring a few stacks of Antidotes and put a

macro somewhere easily accessible. A few antidotes per fight will greatly reduce the poison hazard, especially of the powerful Venom Breath; - Engage a nearby mob before fighting, to ensure that you and your trusts are fully buffed;
- Selh'teus and Iroha both have TP moves that will thwart attempts to self-skillchain. They will usually create Fusion, L3 Light or L4 Light. It's worth awaiting the skillchain animation and continuing it if possible, for even better damage.

6 man, very easy fight. Near BiS BLU, WAR and Semi geared NIN. Had BRD and GEO Buffs. Had a WHM with a Yagrush with us but wasn't really needed as the mob died in under 20 seconds. BLU spammed Expaicion and War Spammed Upheaval. --Dagna (talk) 01:37, 15 May 2021 (EDT)
BLU/RUN M.lvl25 solo Naegling/Thubron. Can indeed hit hard with the addition of potent poison and have high defence. Sulpor, Barpoison and Barwater. Used 1300 Evasion kit (with food popotoes con queso) with Malignance to avoid most of the poison. Paralysing Triad is effective again him. Only used Yoran-Oran and Joachim since they both have -na and Erase, rest was passive trust Brygid, Sakura and Moogle to ease up on poisona. Really easy fight with this setup with no potion used and no health spike. Spammed Savage Blade and take 1 minute per kill. Just make sure for not getting poisoned just before killing him. --LordAttilas (talk) 13:30, 27 April 2024 (UTC)

Basing the resistances on the main page off of Serket's. Which is the most likely case. Scorpions/Scolopendrids/Scorpion NMs vary in their resistances more often than other mobs tend to. For instance Serket compared to normal Scoprions or the yellow Scolopendrid sub species between WotG and Adoulin to Selkit in Escha, all have differences. --Spicyryan (talk) 10:31, 28 November 2018 (EST)
