Hello there. I see you are creating pages for your private server.

You are following the Private Server structure so far which is good. I would recommend first creating a base page. "Category:Shiyo Server" which this all will link back to. This is the root page for you server where all these pages get unified.

BLU Spells

Ok I can just add it to the main section for BLU then, sorry!. I accidentally made it Shiyo_Server_Data instead of Shiyo_Server/Data for a few categories, (like job changes/quests/items). should I just keep that in /system? • Ideally it should follow the structure outlined one the Private Server page.

Where:

• "Category:Shiyo Server"
  • Is your home page. Where you talk about your server and stuff. All other pages get linked into it automatically with that PS header used.

• "Shiyo Server Systems"
  • Is where you talk about systems on your server such as augments or custom upgrades to things or workarounds.
• "Shiyo Server Systems/Page Name"
  • Where you talk about a system that merits its own page.
    • For example: "Shiyo Server Systems/Jobs"
      • Can go as deep as you want. I think you see the structure there though, yes?

• "Shiyo Sevrer NPCs"
  • Custom NPCs or something of the sort.

• "Shiyo Server Content"
  • Self-explanatory
• "Shiyo Server Content/Page Name"
  • For when content merits its own page.

• "Shiyo Server Tech Document"
• Optional. Tech information. Could just put it on your main page if it's not a lot.

There is a Misc option too, but I haven't seen a need for this yet. Probably for the best too.

This way it can be segregated along solid criteria from the retail aspects of the wiki. While linking to the pages or using the templates or icons and stuff available on it.

I have moved the spells into a new page and the data into the jobs page and removed the 7 pages.

Magic Accuracy for various spells

Hey there, I (we) noticed you went and added a bunch of values/changed some wording under many spells and Magic Accuracy pages. Did you mean to make the changes to your private server pages, or do you actually have some insight in how magic accuracy works on retail? If the latter, it'd be very good if you linked proof/testing/whatever documentation you have about it, and if the former you should be more careful about how you go to edit main pages, since BG-Wiki is generally retail-centric. One of the edits to the Resist page says that elemental resistance needs to be higher than the spell’s accuracy to be considered positive resistance, but the source you just gave suggests a large benefit to the slightest non-zero resistance value and verified full resists against tier 5 elemental magic using +2/+3 elemental resistance http://sazitouhuu.blogspot.com/2019/11/21.html I’m able to verify that trusts require a difference of about 10 Magic Accuracy to cast a -ga II and -ga III, but not seeing a connection between the spell and the resistance levels. --Shynoe (talk) 21:55, 15 March 2024 (UTC)

Lots of testing on retail as a Rune Fencer with hundreds of bonus meva but less than 256 light resist was unable to get a resist vs the spell Flash until having 257 light resist. (Flash has +256 bonus MACC) -- Shiyo (talk) 02:21, 16 March 2024 (UTC)

A little testing on BLU/PLD with 7 Light resistance can get full resist against Flash from a 78 Light Elemental in Ru'Aun Gardens. Flash duration was consistently 12 seconds at -5 Light resistance and durations of 6 seconds were possible at 0 Light resistance. With 20 Thunder resistance had full resists occur against Stun from Yagudo casters in Castle Oztroja (S). --Shynoe (talk) 06:49, 16 March 2024 (UTC)

Was the Category: Skeletons edit supposed to be for your private server changes?

I wondered if this recent edit as a mistake. You were intending to document some Private server information and accidentally edited the wrong page. Is that correct?

Not in the game dats, extensive testing on every skeleton in the game resulted in none of them using it. Does not exist on JP wiki. Dereliction is not a TP move in the game. --Shiyo (talk) 21:00, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
