Empyrean Weapons are a series of powerful high-damage and low-delay weapons created through the Trial of the Magians system, offering Relic-equivalent weapons to Treasures of Aht Urhgan and Wings of the Goddess jobs. These weapons require materials dropped from Notorious Monsters in Abyssea zones and from Voidwatch Notorious Monsters. The unique weapon skills linked with these weapons may be unlocked for use with any weapon via either the level 90, 95, 99, or 119 Empyrean Weapon variants or with the analogous Walk of Echoes Weapons and the completion of the appropriate Kupofried's Weapon Skill Moogle Magic Quest.

Further Upgrades

• For initial Item Level 119 versions, a level 99 variant and 300 Riftborn Boulders must be traded to Oboro in Port Jeuno at (E-6).
  • Ochain and Daurdabla lack 119 variants, being fully upgraded in their level 99 II forms.
• For the completed Item Level 119 versions, an Item Level 119 variant and 10,000 Riftborn Boulders must be traded to Oboro in Port Jeuno at (E-6).
  • 119 variants possessing an Afterglow only require 1.
• For the Item Level "119 III" variants, they can be further augmented with Oboro in Port Jeuno at (E-6).
  • Certain prerequisites are needed in order to begin this process.
