Cruor
Cruor is the currency of Abyssea. A naturally occurring red mineral found in the monsters that overrun Abyssea. It's used as a power source for the Resistance's efforts.
Cruor can be gained from completing Abyssean quests, from defeating Abyssean monsters while under Visitant Status and found within Blue Sturdy Pyxis, as well as from completing Voidwatch battles.
Cruor can be used to obtain items, equipment and 
key items by speaking with Cruor Prospectors, to activate Veridical Confluxes for teleportation across Abyssea areas, and on Martello. It is also exchanged for Voidwatch Teleportation.
The balance can always be checked under Currencies in the Main Menu.
Lore
Cruor, as a word, means coagulated blood. That is, of a fluid (blood) to change to a solid or semi-solid state.
